A Delightful Greek Escape at Kritikos
I recently had an unforgettable dinner experience at Kritikos! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and the rich aroma of authentic Greek cuisine. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, with charming rustic decor.
The menu offered a great spectrum of Greek traditional dishes, each prepared with care and authenticity. We started with the some mezzes—chickpea and roasted pepper creamy hummus, aubergine salad and feta cream with walnuts. Then we continued with assortment of Greek croquettes that melted in our mouths. The main course was equally spectacular. The Gyros was rich and flavorful, while the chicken and veal skewers were tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection.
To top it off, we had Greek-style rice pudding and warm brownie, both of which were utterly divine. Every bite was a celebration of flavors, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
What truly set this taverna apart, however, was the hospitality. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about their food and culture.
If you're looking for a true taste of Greece, look no further than Kritikos. Whether it's a special occasion or just a casual evening out, this is a place that guarantees delicious food and warm hospitality....

We were greeted by Nikos in a typical Greek welcoming way and made sure that we were accommodated well in a very busy night , turning up without a booking . The service was efficient without trying to rush you . We were explained exactly what everything was and offered plenty vegetarian options. The food was 5* . Beautifully presented, tasting like homely food ( we cleared all the dishes ) , in generous portions , couldn't fault it in any way . Head chef Amir , you did a great job . Thank you for making my company happy. At the end of the meal, the offering of " Mastiha " was the icing on the cake ! The atmosphere was really cosy but comfortable. So glad I visited " Kritikos " , I will definitely visit it again when my way brings me...

The Dolmades were beyond cooked which made them be a mushroom paste of what once was rice. Besides that, they used a fennel sauce which is not used in Dolmades traditionally and it was not to my taste... But hey, that's a personal thing. The Spanakopita was clearly heated in the microwave which is unacceptable as it was a Friday dinner... If it was a Tuesday lunch I could accept it but not the busiest night of the week. As for desert it was honestly quite good but not good enough as to make it overshadow the rest...
