I can't put into words just how incredible this dining experience was! The restaurant itself exudes elegance and sophistication, with its beautiful décor creating the perfect ambiance. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, especially with their spot-on wine recommendation. I absolutely loved my glass of Verdejo-such a delightful choice! From the start, we were treated to a warm bread and butter that was simply divine-honestly, worth the visit on its own. For appetizers, we tried the crab salad. While it wasn't my personal favorite, my boyfriend loved it, which is one of the reasons he wanted to try this place. Next up was the avocado salad, which quickly became my standout dish of the night. It was light, refreshing, and bursting with flavor-definitely not your average salad. I could've eaten it forever! For the main course, we shared their signature Escalope Armando, and let me tell you, it's an absolute must-try. I'm not usually a fan of Milanese-style dishes, but this one was exceptional-thin, crispy, and not at all heavy. Paired with perfectly cooked potatoes and caramelized onions, it was nothing short of perfection. PUBLICACIÓN LA ANCHA 🍽 Comida en @la_ancha, negocio fundado en 1919 y esta es la 4ª generación de esta saga gastronómica. En 2005, los bisnietos de Benigno(fundador hace más de un siglo), Nino y Santi Redruello, toman el timón de taberna La Ancha, se abren a nuevos conceptos e ideas con la creación de : Las Tortillas de Gabino (2005), La Gabinoteca (2009) y Fismuler (2016). Su carta, extensa y variada, es de recetas sin artificios, sencillas y tradicionales de puro producto.. Por otro lado, su selección de pescados es excepcional, comprando en lonja o en barco a diario, cosa que me creo al 100% por la frescura de los que hemos degustado hoy. Carnes tradicionales y platos de cuchara hacen de su carta una de las más variopintas de Madrid. 👉 Local en Principe de Vergara Nº204, grande y con una terraza climatizada.-Dispone de otro local en Zorrilla Nº7

👉 Su escalope “Armando”, cuyo nombre obedece al de un cliente (argentino) feliz y glotón, es la estrella y el más famoso de Madrid. Lo hay en 2 versiones : Versión estándar(exageradamente grande) o “baby” (grande). Podremos añadirle huevo y trufa.

👉 Disponible también en servicio a domicilio y perfectamente empaquetado.

👉 Selección en carta de ensaladas y verduras muy extensa.

👉 A los postres no llegamos “con hueco” pero el próximo día llegaremos !!!!

➡️ Mini boquerones fritos, sin rebozado, frescura máxima, “saborazo” natural y sin aderezos, se deshacen en la boca, a un 🔆🔆🔆 nivel insuperable.

➡️ Ensaladilla rusa con Mahonesa de maíz, deliciosa, una de las mejores que he probado y la sirven con mucha modestia, 🔝Altamente recommendable.

➡️ Ensalada de colas de cangrejo de río con vinagreta, muy original, quizás un poco duras las colas, de sabor bien pero ha resultado “poco suave”.

➡️ Colas de gamba alistada nacional al ajillo, ummmm muy deliciosas, muy ricas….a un 🔆🔆🔆nivel insuperable

➡️ Chipirones en su tinta con arroz, super suaves y ricos 🔝Altamente recommendable.

➡️ Cogote de Merluza al horno, servidas con unas extraordinarias patatas panaderas, “pintaza” absoluta, “saborazo increíble a frescura, textura super suave y a un 🔆🔆🔆nivel insuperable.

➡️ Escalope “baby” Armando con las extraordinarias patatas panaderas, crujiente por fuera y suave mantequilla por dentro 🔝Altamente recommendable.

➡️ Escalope “baby” Armando con huevo y trufa, buena mezcla de sabores, igual de crujiente y suave que el anterior🔝Altamente recommendable.

📌🍴Calificación 9 de 10, sin lugar a dudas, uno de los mejores restaurantes en categoría de 50€ Pax de Madrid, destacando a muy alto nivel, la frescura de los pescados en general.

This is hands down THE BEST Spanish restaurant in Madrid - I do not give this review lightly as I have eaten at 100's of restaurants in Madrid. This place is fairly priced for the incredibly large portions and better than any restaurant you will eat at in Salamanca/ on C. de Jorge Juan.

The vibe of the restaurant is amazing, I love the outdoor area, makes me feel like I am eating in a cabin in Courchevel/St. Moritz/Kitzbühel etc. The staff is incredibly friendly, you can easily communicate in English and they anticipate your needs before you ask.

The food portions are huge and so delicious. This is the only restaurant I have been to that offers delicious sites with an Escalope. I will have to return to try more items but this is what we ate and loved: Caparrós Salad Escalope Armando Beef meatballs
