This is the perfect wine geek’s wine bar. The bottle menu is extensive with a range of wines at almost every price point. Inexpensive Rioja can be found alongside premium aged Ribera del Duero, back vintages of top flight Chateauneuf du Pape, Cornas and Cote-Rotie. There’s also an enormous selection of Burgundies that go from entry level to grand cru. The markups on the higher end bottles are very reasonable, which invites you to spoil yourself without feeling you’ve spent too much for the privilege to drink outside your home. But you get a lot of value add sitting in La Fisna. The range of quality glasses to choose from is great. The cult classic Zalto is widely used and the elusive and weightless handblown Gabriel Glas Gold edition is available on request. I have never visited another wine bar in Spain that risks handing their guests these delicate glasses. The sommelier is knowledgeable and friendly. She encouraged experimenting with the glasses. The food options were well curated and delicious. The stuffed flor de calabacín really made the fruit in the Flor de Pingus sing. I got lucky and found a seat without a reservation but others were turned away after and this was on a Monday night, so it’s best to make a reservation.

An absolute top notch experience! We got a 6pm reservation, and it didn’t really start getting busy until about 630, but then it was packed. With only 8 tables and such tremendous food and wine, you’ll likely be disappointed without a reservation. Our server, Giselle (and so sorry if I’ve misspelled it) was incredible. It was like having our own wine tasting experience. She’d make suggestions, then we’d try half glasses so we could experience several - a very nice, uncommon option. And the food…wow! They had some choices not on the menu we ordered, including stuffed squid and a fresh tomato salad, Best tomatoes eaten in my life, period. And the stuffed squid - I lost my mind. We had several other tapas, and everything was fresh, tasty and beautifully presented. Lastly…the cheese plate. Five types of cheese, a couple of which were national award winners in their categories. We took home a few bottles of wine, some of which were discounted. A truly perfect night and unforgettable experience. Thank you for such a wonderful Madrid memory!

During my short week in Madrid I visited it twice: the first time by chance and the second to try again the tomatoes. The wine selection is egregious, i tried some Spanish and some French wine. Special mention for the orange Mondo 2021 from Valladolid. Food: more than excellent. Highlights: the tomatoes (week's special), the patatas bravas with mussels, the steak tartare. Special mention for the ensaladilla rusa - delicate & delicious - and the squid stuffed with pork ears and trotters. I ordered the squid just because the stuffing with pork sounded outrageous: it was divine. Finally, the best was the service: the waitresses are super nice and gracious, i felt very welcome. It was the best service i experienced in Madrid and i went to two Michelin-starred restaurant during my stay. Well done!

First thing first - OK, let’s be honest. This was a long shot from a google search. The walk to the place was somewhat “to-be-or-not-to-be”.. And then i walked at the place and immediately i felt like at home, immediately i felt the nice, cozy, warm atmosphere. The team was a top notch, the music was just right for drinking a wine the feeling in general was just GREAT! The wine selection on the menu was decent, but don’t feel fooled - the guys have enormous collection of one-of-a-kind wines. It’s not fair to name them - i definitely will miss many. Some of them one can buy, some of them can’t, but I promise you - you’ll be impressed, as I was The food - to be honest, I wasn’t tried main dishes, but a cheese board. As the wines - GREAT. A lady came to me and presented all of the cheeses one by one!!! They were delicious and marvelous. So, the the whole experience was great and exquisite. And as a final words: The place is highly recommended and must visit by my humble opinion as a wine...
