Absolute SCAM of a Restaurant: We did a reservation that granted 50% discount for lunch, on Tuesday 31 of May, at 13:00. We arrived at the restaurant at 13:00, and it was completely empty, inside and at the terrace. When we asked about the discount, the personnel said that "orders from above" indicate that the terrace is not included in the discount. So, we asked to see where was this written, and they showed us some small letters saying that "reservation in the terrace is not guaranteed". Well, it was EMPTY. We had the coupon. The discount was denied. Make your own conclusions! I don't care if the orders came from above, from below, from the Left or the Right, you have to stop CHEATING customers and correct the offer in the advertisement. If you search the Reviews of the Rios Rosas Restaurant, 3-4 days ago I think, it happened to another woman, who put her experience here and the owner gave a ridiculous excuse that could make even a politician blush..! Anyway, moving on to the food; we were hungry, so we stayed to eat. The portions were small. OK, it was cheap; the menu is 12 euros, but if you are not a small-sized woman, you will leave the place hungry after this menu (maybe the 15 euro menu is better, I will never find out...). Nevermind the size, the taste was completely indifferent. I have eaten better... No reason to visit again, even if it is the last Mexican Restaurant in the Iberian Peninsula. Finally, to top off my great experience, 2 hours after leaving the place, excessive stomachache and toilet-visiting ensued for the next 8 hours. Lesson learned: do not complain...
Read moreI am sorry to say this, but the food was COLLECTIVELY AND UNANIMOUSLY VERY BAD -- one of the worst experiences we have had in Madrid. The only thing that resembled Mexican culture was the atmoshpere, and even that, was very toursty. We had pozole, carnita enchilladas, queso fundido (carnitas), nachos con guacamole y quesadilla de queso.
The cheese was almost inedible, really hard on the stomach afterwards and overall, just kind of gross honestly. Additionally, the quacamole lacked flavor and wasn't fresh at all.
We originally went because we had a 50% discount as part of their restaurant promotion at the time. Had we needed to pay full price for the food we recieved, I would have found it extremely over priced for the type of quality they...
Read moreI do not recommend going.
I give it two stars because they served well, but with the excuse that they could not do anything.
We tried to visit a different place near the office. We made a reservation at 13:00, there were no diners in the restaurant. The menu its really complicated and in the “lunch menu” doesn’t show the price.
You can't order if you want something out of the structure of the menu options taking in to account the allergies. (ex. meat and veggies without fajitas), I had to order a plate without the fajitas and upon arrival it was a small dessert plate with meat on it, minimum, the price of that plate was from a full menu anywhere 15 euros. I would...
