Now that I live in Madrid I was seriously missing american style artisan ice cream and came here to see if I could fill the Salt and Straw sized hole in my soul. The 4 people working here actually seemed to enjoy their jobs and made ordering a fun experience, I couldn’t stop laughing listening to them interact with eachother and the customers. I came here a few months ago, so I don’t remember exactly what I ordred, but I do remember I ordered 3 flavors and one was Mascarpone and one was hazelnut. The mascarpone was what brought me here, but it left me a bit disappointed with the amount of cheese flavor, it was closer to vanilla and left me wishing it was creamier and richer. The hazelnut on the other hand was creamier and had a stronger flavor, which I did enjoy, but I would have liked the quality of the chocolate shards I added to it to be darker and higher quality. The waitress was really friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations for the best ice cream / sorbet that pairs best with the waffle we have chosen. We especially love the dark chocolate sorbet. Thick, refreshing and every mouthful is a joy. You’ll not get sick of it at all. We also had the pistachio ice cream with the dulce de leche sauce. The pistachio ice cream was nutty and added a very earthly taste to the sweet sauce. Those topped onto the crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside waffles brought me and my partner to food heaven.
