Morikaen — Restaurant in Madrid

Tried this for late-night food; although it was near-deserted, they were happy to serve.

They have Wifi available, and unlike many places have actually included this information on the placemat - good organisation!

I ordered a chicken curry, which amounted to battered chicken entrecôte (schnitzel) in breadcrumbs, sliced and dropped on a bed of plain boiled rice with a yellow Chinese curry sauce on the other half. I also had two beers - a Kirin and Asahi - and both came with chilled glasses (they keep these in the freezer) so I wasn't pouring chilled beer into a warm glass - nice move!

I returned a few nights later for another meal, but it seemed deserted with all the lights off. I asked someone about meals, who just disinterestedly shook their head so I wandered off elsewhere.

I've since returned for a ramen bowl along with sushi; my dining colleague remarked how good their sushi is - so I haven't been put off...

El servicio ha sido increíblemente mala. En resumen, Me han estafado 15 euros por la cara. El día que fui ahí pedí un menú (porque te dan una carta con menú del día y otra con platos individuales) unas gyozas y unos takoyaki. El problema fue que cuando nos dieron la comida, también nos dieron un plato de anguilas. Cuando pregunté si las anguilas venían con el menú unas varias veces, me afirmaron que el plato con las anguilas venían con el menú que pedí. Entonces no le di más importancia y me lo comí. Pero, cuando fui a pedir la cuenta, sorpresa, me decían de cobrar las anguilas. Resulta que no venían con el menú y el camarero me había mentido por toda la cara. El gerente también estaba allí cuando y le conté lo que pasó, pero ambos camarero y gerente se negaron y me dijeron por toda la cara que era yo que lo había escuchado mal, aun cuando mi amiga que estaba conmigo también escuchó que pregunté si venía con el menú. Al final, porque teníamos prisa, pagué también las anguilas, lo que me costó unos 15 euros más de lo que debía y que ahora me arrepiento de haberles pagado.

TL;DR they scammed me 15€ by saying that i ordered something i didn't. The day i went there i was with my friend. i ordered a set menu and some individual dishes. The problem arose when, with my set menu, they also gave us a plate of some sort of eel dish. I was a little bit suspicious because i haven't seen the eel dish in the picture of the menu, so i asked several times to the waiter if this was also included in the set menu that i ordered, which he said it was, so i thought nothing of it and ate it. However, the moment i went to pay the check i noticed that they also included the eel dish, so i complained to the owner of the restaurant and the waiter. They tried to gaslight me into thinking it was i who heard it wrong, which it wasn't true since my friend also heard me asking if it was included and they said yes. Because we were in a a hurry i gave in and paid the extra 15€, but now i regret it. Please beware of this restaurant, they'll try to scam you.

Flavors are good and sushi has a nice quality. Prices are ok too however what kills this place is the service. We had a lunch break for an hour and in the beginning it was fast but after more clients arrived they completely forgot about us. After finishing our lunch we waited for almost 15 minutes for any of the waiters to even look at our table and we had to see how the table next to ours ordered desserts before us even when they finished 10 minutes after us. In the end we had to pay and leave without ordering the dessert included in the menu. And even to pay we had to go after them! Food here is nice but I’m not sure if it’s worth the...
