New York Burger, Pso Castellana 89 — Restaurant in Madrid

We reached the place at 9pm from the entrance at Castellano. There wasn't a soul inside, it was hot as the AC wasn't turned on. We got our table fairly quickly. The ambience is yellow and rustic, typical American style burger place. The menu is extensive with options for all pallets, even for vegans or vegetarians. They could include more photos on the menu. The food was good, wonderful fries and excellent burger, good portion sizes as well. Their desserts are standard and delicious as well. Service is a bit slow, as they have a lot of delivery orders coming in. Only one complaint, they need to take care of the insect situation in the indoor dining area. We came in at lunch peak with no reservation so we had to wait for a table (which is not a problem at all). We ordered two regular and one children’s burger with fries. After we ordered we have been waiting about 50 minutes for the food to arrive and the burger patty came almost completely raw, also the child’s cheeseburger - we were a bit in a hurry as we didn’t expect the food to take so long, if we hadn’t I would have sent the patty back to the kitchen… I finished my burger as I don’t mind the patty to be rare and it was like okay, nothing special so I wouldn’t really go...

We went here 4 times, the food is great, the meat was high quality, staff was professional. Unfotunately the last time we returned to this restaurant (thursday) there were other members of staff. They were a bit rude in their tone and treated us like they have some problem with our presence. We were very surprised since we always had a great time here. That’s why we didn’t leave any tip (as we usually do in NY burger). Regardless I’d recommend this place - and if it wasnt for this last bitter experience it would be 5...
