Parrilla El Barril — Restaurant in Madrid

I preference this review with full disclosure that I am in American visiting Madrid. The restaurant is visually stunning, the Resturant. area, and Bar are comfortable, accommodating, and comfortable. The bar area is visually, stimulating, and with multiple hightops and comfortable seating. The menu is extensive providing a wide option for every Culinary pallet. However, we ordered the Seabass. It was struggling with flavor, an aching for salt and some lemon acid. In short, it was quite bland. As an appetizer we ordered the asparagus. The same issue leads one to an uninspiring culinary experience. However, the establishment redeemed itself with the apple tart dessert. All in all, it is a well appointed restaurant. Great culinary experience completely obliterated by high prices and rip off attitude. Miniature bread which nobody ordered is billed at 2.20€. A decent Rioja 2013 is massively overpriced at 24.75€. As the Sangria was not on the menu (a tourist trap telltale sign) I was curious about the price and asked the waitress, who announced 12.50€, however on the bill it appeared as 24.75€, definitely the most expensive Sangria in the world... Monkfish, already pricy at 23.50€ per person, is billed at 94.00€ for 2. Side dishes such as fries are not included with the meats, highly unusual in Spain. Unfortunately you fell that something is wrong as soon as you open the menu, and this spoils the entire experience as you know...

Good day. Please be human. Your tables and chairs make a terrible, loud grinding noise. At 9:30 in the morning, the cleaner comes and starts dragging the metal chairs across the floor. Then you continue this during the day. And this grinding only stops from 24:00 to 1:00 after the restaurant closes, when you put the tables and chairs back in place. I can only go to bed after this time. And in the morning it all starts again. I beg you, put soft pads on the legs of the tables and chairs. It's easy, quick and they don't cost much.
