A rather standard Argentinian restaurant that does not stand out from any other.
The interior looks classy at first glance, but upon closer look is merely a Loft style design, which makes it look classy, yet does not really live up to it.
First thing which disappointed me the most (and I sincerely hope the owner will see this) is that i was literally forced to give my personal details: phone, name and surname; just to get in, as the hostess would not let us in without making an on-demand booking. Norlte that we were the only ones in the restaurant and it was at 14:00. Good thing i gave a fake number, or else i am convinced i would get marketing offers which 100% breaks the GDPR.
Waiters did a good job at assuming that we are foreigners, even though i spoke Spanish to them. They also tried being very sophisticated and classy, yet i was not in the mood for it and just wanted a bite to eat. So no comment here, service was good.
As per the menu, it is rather short. Salad options are indeed funny, like: rucula salad with parmesan. Literally 2 ingredients. Other options feature no more than 2 ingredients too, if you leave out the salsa.
Then you have an option of 5 different potatoes or batatas, 3 options of sausages and 8 cuts of meat.
I know Argentinian cuisine is not exactly very rich in variety, but if you came for a quick bit, not a full meal, not really a good option.
Food was ok, maybe sausages were a bit dry, but otherwise all in order.
Final verdict: not a bad place, horrible service and personal data scavenging upon entry, decent service of waiters, but overall atmosphere does not live up to the standard they are...
Read moreI recently had an exceptional dinner at Piantao, housed in a modern, industrial‑chic space with brick walls, leather chairs, and intimate lighting that gives you that cozy, upscale parrilla vibe. The open kitchen frames the wood-fired grill, letting you see each cut of meat char to perfection.
I started with smoked roast croquettes and empanadas—crispy exteriors hiding savory, juicy fillings, perfect bite‑sized introductions. Next came seasonal vegetables and a burrata‑tomato salad that felt fresh and well‑balanced, cleansing the palate before the main. For the stars of the evening, I sampled both an Argentine ribeye and a Wagyu A5 sirloin cooked medium‑rare. Both cuts were exquisite—tender, richly flavored, and flawlessly grilled over embers as visible from my table.
Accompanying sides—creamy sweet potato with cane sugar glaze and perfectly crisp fries—added character without overshadowing the meat. My meal finished on a high note with dulce‑de‑leche cheesecake and lemon‑meringue tart, light and satisfying.
Service was polished but unpretentious. The staff recommended cuts based on my taste, paced the courses thoughtfully, and ensured my wine glass was always topped up. Despite its high quality, some reviewers note that prices skew toward premium—which I found fair for the experience and craftsmanship .
Piantao Legazpi strikes a beautiful balance: Argentinian-style fire-grilled meats, contemporary ambience, and thoughtful hospitality. It’s a prime choice for steak lovers in Madrid—I can't...

Yeehhh, Influencers!! Qué marcha?! Hoy toca Piantao & Kyoshi @piantao_es @kyoshi_ricardosanz.

●Repetir? Sin dudarlo en ningún momento.
