My last meal in Madrid and it was tasteless and underwhelming in addition to paying gourmet prices. The Reserva Grill is extremely overpriced and serves tasteless food. We ordered an appetizer of croquettes as a farewell to these bites of heaven we so enjoyed all over the city. Here, they were over fried and bland. For my entree, I order the corvina fish. This is usually a delightful white meat fish. For a nice piece of fish, there was no flavor. The overpriced dish consisted of a piece of fish served over shavings of corn, something resembling a bath sponge, and two tiny itty bitty pieces of muscle. That was the entire entree. In addition, we asked for two glass of Albariño white wine. It was served warm! I have never had white wine at room temperature. No one ever asked if we liked our food or needed anything else. This restaurant may call itself fine dining in order to charge exuberant prices, but it has much to learn about how to treat high priced clientele. If you are staying in this hotel for an early flight out, please invest in a taxi or an Uber ride to a better last meal than what this hotel offers. You are worth a delicious farewell meal in this wonderfully...
Read moreOk so let me tell you… I know this will sound really crazy, totally unbelievable and like a huge exaggeration, but the best fideua you will ever have in your life will be here. I know, I know,,, you’re thinking I must be uncultured or inexperienced or that I have an immature palate. That is not the case. I am a foodie. I live in Spain and have had some of the best fideuas that are known to man. I travel the world for food. I eat at local places but I also eat at Micheline stars and have visited some of the most prestigious restaurants in the world that have graced the top 100 List in more than 6 counties. I know what good food is..and I’m picky and critical when it comes to traditional foods especially. With all of that being said, the fideau here blew my mind. I had a tear 🥹🥲 of happiness running down my cheek as I continued to eat bite after bite. The flavor, the presentation, the temperature, the texture, the EVERYTHING!!! All I kept thinking was, how in the hell is this meal being enjoyed in the Hilton hotel near the airport and not in some really trendy place where it would cost x3 the price?

Read moreI am truly surprised at the couple reviews that noted that the quality of the food was so poor and "tasteless." The overall experience was such a pleasant surprise as I was not expecting to be blown away at the quality of the food at a random Hilton hotel. After a tour of Spain's amazing cuisine at numerous Michelin starred restautants during our trip, our flight was cancelled so we had to spend a night at this hotel. We just needed something to eat and decided to keep it simple and dine at this hotel restuarant for dinner. We had the paella, entrocote, ribs, patatas fritas, squid, salmon and sorbet/fruit for dessert. Across the board, every dish was so good, both in taste and presentation. The experience was enhanced further by the high quality of service from Marina, the other servers and the restaurant manager. What a gem we stumbled across. Despite the disappointment of having our flight cancelled, this great meal really allowed for a great evening...
