sat outside on a cold night, they were out of gas for the fire place. online reservation didn’t specify were we’d be so we dressed to eat inside. we ordered our drinks and some apps, drinks were good. waited 45 mins for our appetizers, we had the guac and the queso which was good. we told the waiter we were ready to order some mains and he said okay and left to drink with his friends that were at the restaurant…. he finally came over to us after about 25 minutes and we ordered beef tacos and the shrimp ceviche. the waiter came back 15 minutes later and explained they couldn’t make the beef tacos and suggested the pork, so i agreed, and to which he said he wouldn’t charge me for it since it was such a long wait. (they did end up charging me for it) fast forward 2 hours later, my stomach is in pain and i’m throwing up, my guess was the pork tacos since that was the only thing i ate that day.

Mi más sincera enhorabuena a sus propietarios, los cuales han sabido romper con los estereotipos del clásico restaurante mexicano decorado con sombreros de mariachis y rancheras a todo volumen, creando un espacio moderno y elegante. Un sitio donde se disfruta de la comida mexicana por los cinco sentidos.
Si alguna vez visitas Sal Mestiza, tienes la obligación de pedir por lo menos estos tres platos:
-Los Tacos Diputado, una crujiente tortilla con langostinos salteados, queso gratinado, cebolla en tempura y una salsa mayonesa de chipotle de infarto.
-Los Crujiente de atún, preparados con unos taquitos de atún crudo marinados en salsa ponzu acompañado de crema de aguacate y un aderezo de chiles chipotles, todo ello sobre un crujiente de maíz. Ya verás que no durarán nada en el plato.
-Aguachile Patrón, una suculento Ribe Eye a la parrilla con una salsa secreta con la que querrás rechupetear el plato.
Otro punto positivo de este restaurante es su apuesta por una coctelería mexicana moderna, en su carta descubrirás un mundo de sabores y texturas brutales. Mis cócteles favoritos son su Holbox y su Margarita con mezcal, pero nunca esta de más pedirse un carajillo con alguno de sus postres.
Me encantó mi experiencia en Sal Mestiza, no solo por su ambientazo, sino por el excelente servicio de sus camareros.

After dinner they'll turn up the music a bit and you could even find yourself dancing with the crew after a couple of autochthonous mexican drinks.
