(update: I used to work for the company that owns the restaurant so take my review with a grain of salt) I went to Arrogante fully knowing it might end up disappointing me, and I'm glad for that mentality because I ended up having the absolute best time. The service was outstanding, delivering the food incredibly quickly and only adding to the ambiance of the restaurant itself. Meanwhile the atmosphere was fun, festive and high energy without being overwhelming and the actual decore of the restaurant was outstanding. The shows were incredibly gripping and enjoyable, especially the opening number and the opera singer. As for the food... While incredibly tasty, the pasta portion could've been larger for the price you're paying, meanwhile the pizzas were absolutely incredible. Last, but certainly not least, the cocktail was absolutely delicious and the cheesecake, while on the pricier side of things, was mouthwateringly good.
When going to Arrogante, you need to know the following things: . It's not cheap, but you're paying for quality and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant so don't complain about the prices lol. . It's only two hours per reservation, but in our case the two hours were more than enough to have a fantastic time and move on with our night. . Go with a few friends, share dishes and you'll end up paying a reasonable amount of money for multiple dishes rather than too much money...
Read moreIn my opinion a bit overrated. We came in and had the table 2 hours from 20.00 to 22.00. We ordered the food 30 minutes after we came in and the starter was on the table in 10 minutes. We were not finished with the starter and they came in with the main course at 21.00. This was too fast as we mentioned. The starter was a tuna salade. Nothing special just marinated blocks of tuna on a plate. Also the mozarella was a bit strange. Maybe a nice buratta made it more tasty then just a mozarella ball with tapenade and dried tomatoes on the side. Main course was pasta with ragu, which is bolognese, and the papardelle with boneless ribs is more pulled pork. During the dinner there are some performances. Nice done, but not always from all sides to see. The performers were only in their role during the act. When the act was done they stayed a bit around and chatting with eachother and the dj. Staying in the act would have been nicer in my opinion. At 21.15 we were finished with the 2 courses and only 1 beer and asked the bill. 115 euro is way too much for the quality and presentation of the food. I guess you pay for the performances and experience. Which now we have a nice story to tell! Our waitress was very...
Read moreI lived in Madrid 2 years ago and came back to celebrate my birthday at what I thought was an excellent restaurant. I was embarrassed that I dragged my friends to this place keeping in mind we paid 55 euros per person in advance. The service was absolutely horrible; the waiters were rude the food took literally 1 hour and a half. On another note, we ordered cocktails and one friend did not get her cocktail and when we asked where is it the response we got was "If it's not here yet, we didn't prepare it." and then we asked again and they told us someone has to drink their cocktail faster because they don't have enough glasses. I don't believe you hear this response ever in a restaurant you were asked to pay 55 euros per person in advance. Another thing, we were sitting and they asked my friend to move so they can throw out the trash which is so not the experience we paid for. More to that, we tried to tell the manager to make our experience better, he did not care 1 bit. I would never recommend this...
