Went in with our son in a small compact stroller at 9:15am, there was literally not a single person eating here it was completely empty. Went in with the intention of seating down in the back table which was obviously empty as we were 4 adults and 1 child. The woman behind the counter told us we could only sit in the front table because we had a stroller (which was closed and completely compact it even fits in overhead bin in an airplane). We then changed two of the stools for two seats with backrest because I suffer from lower back pain and need the backrest. Another woman immediately came to tell us we couldn’t change the chairs and that she would prefer if we did not take the original table that was given to us because we were occupying 2 tables instead of one larger one. Makes no sense; they were the ones that sit us there in the first place. We immediately stood up and left. Very rude staff and possibly the owner herself. Find other places to eat, this one is not...
Read moreThis is by far my favorite coffee shop in this part of Madrid. They have an espresso largo which is basically a large espresso but it isn't a double espresso so it's really pleasant. The staff is incredibly friendly and the place is super clean. I think they have some rules about which tables you can sit on if you are working on your laptop and I think they don't want you to be on your laptop on the weekends or on holidays. But I'm all honesty I don't think it's a very laptop friendly sort of a place, it is much more cozier than that. I think it's a great place to come and have a really good breakfast with some great coffee. I have gotten several of their dishes so far and all of them are really well done with really good ingredients. I have been coming to this coffee shop for several years every time I'm in Madrid. I can't wait to come back here again and try some...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite cafes in Madrid! The food is extremely tasty and the environment is very relaxed and unique. The WiFi is strong and there is also a water station towards the back so you can refill your glass whenever you want! Every time I enter the cafe, I am always warmly greeted by Vanina and Lucian.
I have really enjoyed visiting Urbano Specialty Coffee throughout my year abroad in Madrid. My favorite toast is the "Eco bread, avocado, tomato slices, olive oil, oregano, and bio seeds" and my favorite bowl is the Pitaya bowl.
I look forward to visiting this cafe soon once I make my way back to Madrid. I highly recommend to check...
