A place for a nicer dinner and you get to try Basque food too. The cider was nice although we would have probably been happy with just individual glasses rather than the jar so we could have tried their other wines too. The red peppers starter and the little sausages were great, and would definitely say you should try their house soup and get it with the fried bread option. The Chuleton steak was more than we needed at an order of 800grams for two especially since we got potatoes with it. They don't really ask initially how you want it cooked at they have a house way of cooking it. Just know they do tend to cook very much the rare side, in fact it was the rarest steak I have ever eaten; although they will offer to cook it a bit more without any issues. The chuleton cut ends up a little stringy and chewy when its so rare, so I might suggest just asking for it medium rare right when you order. It's also going to be a very salty meal if you order it with the potatoes. Price reflects the more upscale vibe they are going for, but its...
Read moreWe were dining at 7.30 so quite early and therefore next to no-one else there. Main issue is we ordered the whole baked Turbot, the fresh fish shown to us looked great, but once "cooked" the staff gathered at a nearby table which seemed to be a training exercise in how to fillet and present such a fish. This was disappointing as we wanted to take the flesh off the bone ourselves. Anyway after some time, the dishes were presented to my wife and I. Unfortunately despite all the attention, part of the fish was clearly not cooked. We let them know, they apologized, took them away and brought them back some 15 minutes later. It was just barely properly cooked but we ate most of it. By this time our appetite was off. The owner appeared and through a translator appeared to make the case that it was like rare meat, but cooking whole fish is not at all like cooking beef. Sorry for the long story. We were charged 86 euro for the fish dish alone.I certainly will not return and...
