It has to be said that the Beach Restaurant together with the rest of the facilities are a lovely setting to eat and the food was good, although somewhat over-priced for the overall quality. The huge disappointment though, which very much spoilt our evening was being very closely packed next to two tables, one of which contained 2 cigarette smokers and another table where a gentleman was puffing away on a very pungent cigar all the while whist we were trying to eat our dinner. It has to be at least 20 years since I last had an experience with being disturbed by other peoples cigarette / cigar smoke whilst eating a meal. I thought that has been firmly consigned to the 20th century, not the third decade of the 21st! The staff obviously seemed to think this was normal as nothing was said. However we will definitely not be returning to this restaurant. If I wanted to sit and have dinner whilst breathing in other people fumes I would have asked the staff to set up a table in the middle of their car park. Such a shame for a place that would seem to pride itself on catering to ‘high end’ clients, even places like McDonalds and Burger King do not allow guest to smoke in their...
Read moreOur meal started well with good service and nice starters. However it seems we got the “old European” treatment as a few tables came in that clearly were deemed more important. We then were totally ignored for the reminder of our meal.
We finally asked for the bill when our entrees took over an hour to arrive - only to be brought both our entrees and the bill. When I tried to gently mention this, I was totally ignored.
We stayed at the Puente Romano and the service there was far better. Oh and the kids food is pretty bad here especially for the price. My daughter barely touched her pizza and they didn’t care. If that happed at Puente Romano, the manager would be there immediately and would address it.
All prices are high in Marbella, but this place was yet higher and not worth it. We planned to stay at the bar for a drink but as they didn’t care about us, we didn’t care to stay longer. We were very ery happy to return to Puente where they seem to care about...
Read moreThe manger who’s in charge of the beach reservation is so unprofessional and has no idea what’s going on. We have a reservation for the sun-beds and when we arrived they told us our name not even in the list even though I have SMS message from them confirming the reservation. When the manger arrived he decided to lie and tell us the reservation was for a lunch not the sun beds so he is literally saying the opposite of what I have received from them. He tried to cover up for the mess of over booking sun-beds his and the person who took our booking made. She didn’t even showed her face while we were there then he said if you want to stay you need to eat from our restaurant first then we can give you the sun beds, we decided to leave. Wasted my whole afternoon with nonsense.
The guys who were in charge of the beach food service and towels were...
