August '24, we were guests at B'day party. The entire table left that eve in stunned silence.
Serving staff were reasonably alert but obviously inexperienced. All but one of us ordered soup (some different) for an appetizer, along with our mains. The hostess only ordered a main.
Staff delivered the wrong soup to two guests and at the same time presented the hostess her main. Those with the wrong soup only realized the mistake after tasting. Too late to switch or change since the servers vanished along with the hostess's main.
When mains arrived, confusion returned, staff clueless as to who ordered what. This time, the hostess was left to wait for her meal while other plates cooled. The very doughy Dog Fish chosen by the B'day boy resembled soggy chicken McNuggets but without taste, perhaps because they were all dough and no dog. Inedible. Others offered to switch. He took my very well done and very greasy lamb chops. More bottled water and more wine was ordered. None arrived.
Knowing it's not in the hostess's nature to complain I took it upon myself to call the next morning. After 3 tries, I reached a person in charge of hospitality. He seemed genuinely dismayed and was kind in offering me time to document over the phone what I've described above. I left him to his devices and provided contact info for the hostess. He promised to follow up with her.
I have no skin in this game. Nothing to gain, other than hoping our friend would be offered an apology. Instead, silence followed. I know this because if someone, anyone, from the restaurant had bothered to call her we would have heard.
They fooled us all once. There won't be a 2nd time. I would advise against...
Read moreThe worst and least Spanish authentic place I have ever been to. I can think of many more places I would go to in Marbella that are worth a visit. Its over rated and nothing to compare with the one in Malaga.
We arrived a few minutes late (its august in Marbella) and they canceled our reservation, the place was empty. No music, no ambiance and to top it all off they wanted to squeeze us in the smallest table possible when there were plenty more options.
Not the standard I was expecting with all the hype of el pimpi in Marbella. We did not stay and ended up at Nobu without a reservation and...
Read moreFirst time trying this restaurant, very disappointing. Poor service.. Waiter was pouring olive oil in a big plate instead of bread plate(these are the only ones they have) if we wanted more olive oil next to our bread we had to call him each time.. Not easier to leave the bottle on the table? No salt and pepper offered.. Bottle of water was 10€ really overpriced. Mains came at different times so we were sitting and watching each other eat rather than eating together.. The food was okay, but other restaurants here offer better quality. Definitely need to step up as expectations for Puente Romano...
