Returned here after a year and so disappointed in the way we were treated. Ordered a few new options, and the coconut bread that my wife came back for. The bread wasn't as before, a little bur t around the edges but we let that slide...
Then we got a chocolate cake for my son, and as he was eating it i sliced a piece for myself and noticed a green/blue patch. I looked closer and realised it is fungus, so i stopped my son from eating it and took the plate to the owner/manager and pointed it out.
She didn't say a single word, took the plate and went off. I assumed she was upset at finding this and would come back and explain or offer an apology of some sort - but this did not happen. We never saw her again.
Another member of staff came with a nee slice of cake and we refused it as it came from the same cake - she then tried to explain the fungus must have been from a knife use to cut blueberries. This i iound very offensive as she is testing my intelligence. I don't blame her as she was probably told to say this, however to clarify the knife i used was clean and we did not have any blueberry's. Also when was the last time anyone cut blueberries? And since when does blue and brown mix to make green?
This was just an excuse, not thought about at all and delivered to us to try and cover up serving a cake that was gone off. All the manager had to do was come and apologise for it. I am in customer service industry and everyone makes mistakes but it is how you deal with it that matters. This was dealt with absolutely terribly and we will not be returning again.
If you have the cake or any other food that is not cooked fresh to order, be sure to check it for fungus before you eat it or worse still giving it to...
Read moreAwful experience, my girlfriend & I had wanting to come to this place for a while as it look so nice in photos we had seen but it turned out to be a disappointment, we got there and the customer service was just terrible, they took a while to take our order we didn't mind that they bought us our coffees straight away the problem comes when we had to wait for more than 30 mins for us to get what we ordered our coffees were already cold by they first bought us my girlfriends ordered she ordered a bowl and they left me there waiting 10 more minutes for them to bring mine that was a toast with bananas and peanut butter I reckon you shouldn't bring one out first and leave the order person waiting the whole point is to eat together, I can't belive it took them 40 min to prepare a piece of toast with some peanut butter on top with bananas that's just terrible, then we they did bring me my order they bought me two toasts when I only asked for one, the table that was next to us had the same problem they were complaining also about how long it took and another group left as they weren't being attended. After we ordered the bill they bought us two shots on the house that were absolutely dreadful it burnt our mouths it was horrible. I believe they should have a much better organisation and better customer service for the prices you are paying the only good thing is the place...
Read moreVery disappointed with the attitude and the failure to keep promises. I have visited Rachel’s several times and took part in the brunch + training on Saturday mornings. One time, I was quite sick in the morning and called Rachel’s. Someone answered and, after discussing with the manager, told me I could use the tickets (i had 2 and my friend decided also not to come) another time when I felt better. This was also confirmed on Instagram chat. But when I tried to reuse my tickets, I was told it was not possible.
I wouldn’t be upset if that had been communicated from the start, but after everything was confirmed, they announced otherwise. I feel that’s unfair and i might found a other solution (give my tickets away or my friend could have been taken part of it!!! ). Also, the Instagram confirmation was deleted, which really makes me question the attitude of the whole place! I feel it’s inappropriate to act like this.
Please be very careful when making...
