First, the positives: The STAFF, despite being understaffed over Christmas, especially GIGI (a professional angel) and her colleague, did an incredible job. They managed a rather chaotic situation in a professional, warm, and highly empathetic way. They are a huge asset; if I had a business, I would hire them immediately. The location, decoration, and sea view are beautiful and tastefully done.

On the more negative side: The food was mediocre (but acceptable), and we had to wait for over an hour. This is probably linked to the shortage of staff in the kitchen. The restaurant, open to the seafront and in the shade, is fabulous in the summer but quite cold in the winter. Additionally, there are bar tables on the pavement before the restaurant, so be ready to be exposed to cigarette smoke while you eat. Another disturbing factor (common in the rest of Marbella, not the restaurant's fault) is the presence of hordes of fake bag sellers in front of the restaurant. It wouldn’t be an issue if the food were served quickly, but spending over 1 hour in the cold, hungry, inhaling cigarette smoke, and witnessing illegal bag dealings is not...

After some great reviews and always on the look out for new restaurants in Marbella we thought we’d check Kamala out. Safe to say their spot is superb.. right on the front next to the old Boardwalk restaurant which had even better views, the place is very nicely stylised with an bohemian chic decor.

The food was very good! A level above what most of the restaurants on the front are serving. You can see a lot of care and attention has gone in the kitchen.

The one drawback was the service. They had only 2 staff serving around 15 covers - they were polite and fast as they could be but they were clearly under pressure and needed more help!

The place has an amazing atmosphere and great view of the sea. Unfortunately, in one of the dishes we found a hair. The plate was also missing hollandaise sauce and when we asked they replied that the plate comes like this even though it is stated on the menu. They took the plate and they asked if we needed something else. We ordered another item and while waiting we got frustrated as it was taking so long for them to bring and asked for the bill(a simple salmon on toast and poached egg). As soon as i went to pay they brought the item out. While paying they did not remove the item with the piece of hair which was €10 and instead they gave us "on the house" the cheaper one...
