If I could give this restaurant zero stars I would. This was my worst dining experience whilst in Marbella. When we first sat down we were told we could only stay if we were buying food as solely buying drinks is not allowed. This was fine as we wanted food anyway. We especially wanted tapas so chose here as the previous night santi, the owner, himself had spoked to us in a very friendly manner inviting us in. However the santi we were greeted with this night was far from nice. As soon as we sat down he told us to be quick and order. We ordered drinks, a few different tapas and 2 portions of patata bravas. When the food arrived we were shocked. From the price we expected decent portions, fully aware tapas are small in nature. But what we received were the smallest tapas I have ever seen. The lamb was a single piece of lamb the size of your thumb. The meatballs consisted of 2 singular meatballs with 3 chips to fill the rest of the bowl. There were three of us planning to share these tapas. The patata bravas were the most shocking part. What we were served were spicy potato wedges. The same served in any deli counter for maybe €2-€3 in a supermarket. Also available frozen in a bag for a similar price back home. Not the traditional Spanish patata bravas we know and love. I said to santi these are not what we ordered and explained we wanted patata bravas he said yes these are patata bravas. I said no and pulled up a picture on Google of patata bravas. This is when he got irrate and shouted at us, these are OUR patata bravas, these are patata bravas. He then stormed off with the plates. The atmosphere at this point was unpleasant. We asked for the bill and left. I regret not taking pictures of the miniature food. I must also mention the lack of hot tea available as well as the air fryers in the kitchen. I would not recommend Santi’s overpriced air fried unauthentic Spanish food and...
Read moreWe were served a partially cooked breaded chicken fillet. After eating the cooked part we then noticed it was half raw. We alerted the staff. They gave us a full bill. The old man said we ate enough of the dish to be satisfied. He even brought the raw chicken back out on a fork to show us how small it was, insisting we were being unreasonable. I asked him would he eat it and he wouldn't reply. No apology given. We are talking about 10 euro on a bill. Mistakes happen but this was not handled properly.
Absolutely disgusting dining experience and treatment from the staff. (Will update if we have...
Read moreThere are some poor reviews of this place which we personally don’t understand. Yes the portion sizes are on the smaller size for general Tapas in Spain but the quality is much higher than elsewhere, in fact this is the best Tapas we’ve had all week. The service is excellent couldn’t recommend it more, you get what you pay for. We had the ham and cod croquettes, patatas bravas, prawns, pork, truffle potato and cheesecake desert. All home made!! Don’t know where other people think they can buy this kind of food from Mercadona because we can’t,...
