Ristorante Incontro Banús — Restaurant in Marbella

We came to the restaurant because of the pictures of delicious looking Neapolitan pizzas posted in Google Maps. Unfortunately the pizza I received was pretty far from a good Neapolitan pizza, or the ones from the pictures; the crust was too thin and the dough was not tasty enough. Overall it was ok, but not worth the price. Also, the pasta carbonara was the worst I have ever eaten; unfortunately my wife had forced herself to eat most of the portion before I tried it, or otherwise I would have sent the portion back. Perhaps the real chef was on a break or already left to celebrate Christmas? In addition, the prices on the menu don’t include taxes so the already overpriced food becomes even more expensive once the bill arrives. Great find! There are many Italian restaurants in the area but we were looking for one open on Mondays, many are closed. So glad we found Il Incontro! We loved it and will definitely go again. The location is in a quieter area off the main harbor, near the shopping. Lots to do around before and after dinner in terms of walking around to the piers, outdoor market shops, drinks, etc.

The food was amazing! We had bresaola, two different salads, pulpo carpaccio, spaghetti carbonara and salmon penne and loved it all. The pizza focaccia was also delicious as an accessory to the salads. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the staff were very friendly and attentive.

They also take reservations which is is nice as other Italian restaurants in the area don’t and you have to line up for hours to get a table.

This is a simple 'trattoria' in the scheme of things, complete with the inevitable pizza menu. Not in a central 'Banus location. We each had two starters and two main courses, having both chosen the same dish, but only soft drinks, and no desserts. The dry dough bread for me cost €7.60.
