Visiting Puerto Banús is an experience that perfectly captures the glamour and luxury lifestyle for which Marbella is famous. Located just a short drive from the old town, Puerto Banús is both a marina and a social hub, combining designer shopping, fine dining, nightlife, and stunning views of the Mediterranean.
The first impression is breathtaking: a harbor filled with some of the world’s most impressive yachts, surrounded by palm trees, luxury boutiques, and lively cafés. Walking along the marina feels like stepping into a glamorous postcard – with high-end brands such as Dior, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Rolex all lining the promenade. It’s the perfect spot for luxury shopping or simply people-watching in one of the chic cafés.
Dining in Puerto Banús offers plenty of variety, from fine-dining restaurants to casual tapas bars with views of the water. Whether enjoying seafood, Mediterranean cuisine, or international dishes, the atmosphere is always vibrant. In the evening, the area comes alive with stylish bars and nightclubs, making it a top destination for nightlife in Marbella.
While Puerto Banús is well known for its luxury, it is also enjoyable for a casual stroll. Watching the sunset over the marina or enjoying an ice cream while admiring the yachts is just as rewarding as dining in one of the exclusive restaurants. The nearby beaches also offer a more relaxed way to enjoy the area.
It’s true that Puerto Banús can be busy and prices are higher than other parts of Marbella, but this is part of the experience. It’s not just a marina – it’s a symbol of the Marbella lifestyle.
For anyone visiting the Costa del Sol, Puerto Banús is a must-see. Whether for shopping, dining, nightlife, or simply soaking up the glamorous atmosphere, it leaves a lasting...
Read moreTitle: Puerto Banús Beach – Calm, Clean, and Sunset Perfect
Review: I visited Puerto Banús Beach twice in the past few days—once in the morning and once in the late afternoon, staying until sunset. Both times were rewarding in their own way. The weather was clear, the air fresh, and the beach pleasantly uncrowded. The water was clean and calm, with no heavy waves, making it safe for both children and adults. The sand was soft and well-kept, perfect for relaxation.
What makes the setting unforgettable is the view of La Concha mountain and the striking La Victoria statue standing tall over the shoreline. The late afternoon visit was especially magical, as the sun dipped behind La Concha to the west, casting the beach into shade while the sky glowed in warm colors. The atmosphere was peaceful—no loud music, just people quietly enjoying the sea.
Although the beach itself is free, there are beachfront restaurants and kiosks offering food, drinks, and sunbeds for rent. A word of caution: Banús Beach Club is located right on the beach and charges an entry fee, but it is not the only access point. The public beach is open and free.
Puerto Banús may be known for its luxury marina, yachts, and nightlife, but this beach offers a calmer side of Marbella’s glamour. A perfect place to unwind, especially if you stay to watch the sun slip...
Read moreCome and revel in all the sights and tastes that Puerto Banus has to offer. From the super rich to the most humble of humans, this place has everything to offer, with the exception of stillness. The shops are extraordinary; designers I cannot begin to pronounce or even care to do so, through to the independent and quaint boutiques. You can purchase gleaming jewels, fancy handbags, trips on yachts, gorgeous cocktails and simple lunches whilst the super cars throb through the harbour attracting admiration and mild hysteria. You can spend nothing just taking it all in or you could blow a cool million on a mere trinket. I see the fake curves and the pimped up lips on the ladies, the British car makers insignia on a tasteful polo shirt clad male, with a wristwatch worth more than a comfortable home. All of them are humans, all of us not perfect, some embracing it and others fighting but they all love this special place. The place where the cool lapping of the sea meets floating palaces, impeccable front of house staff urging you to taste the delights from the restaurant kitchen, the pop of fuel being spent in an sublimely engineered exhaust and a beep from a horn from a tired worker in his tatty taxi. I like it, I positively look forward to my visits but by crikey I'm always thankful that my home...
