Al Bek — Restaurant in Mogán

Had a great meal @ Al Bek when we were in Puerto Mogan in Oct. We were first in the restaurant. We had a child with us and didn't wan't to be out late. We felt a bit uncomeatable when we first entered and though a warmer welcome might have been nice, but hay ho. This was our first time eating Lebanese-Syrian food and the 3 of us found the dishes very tasty. I had the Sauteed Chicken Livers for starters and boy was that tasty. The size of it was huge though. I could have easily gone through it, but would not have had much room left for my main so left about half. My wife had the Grapevine leaf with meat and she thought was great and tasty. Our Grandson had the Chicken Wings, but with chips and had it as a main. He loved the wings and wanted to return for more the following day. For my wife and I's main we had the mixed skewers with rice and salad. These were so tasty and ample for us both. Tbh I preferred the mince meat ones. A hot chilli sauce wouldn't have gone a miss but when in Rome. We all highly recommend Al Bek and it was one of the best meals we have ever had in Mogan and we have visited many times. Absolutely delicious. The best Lebanese/ Syrian food I have had outside middle east. The restaurant is very attractive and cosy seating indoors and outdoors ( with heaters for the winter). The indian restaurant Mr india is just opposite . Anyhow we found the Staff AMAZING, especially Hussain from Syria. I am still dreaming about the chicken shwarma and Hassa potatoes. Excellently spiced. The hummus was creamy melt in your mouth delightfulness!! Brought back wonderful memories of our 2 year stint in Damascus . This restaurant is brand new ,only 2 months old. Excellent food, the service is also out of this world. The menu is a wonderful combination of Middle Eastern cuisine, this is the best chicken I have ever eaten bar none. The team working here are some of the friendliest and attentive, not only that but they really know their stuff when it comes to flavour. Really lovely to have something a bit different in Mogan. Do yourself a big favour and if you are anywhere nearby make sure you grab a meal here, I promise you will not be disappointed.
