Restaurante La Gondola — Restaurant in Mogán

Was disappointed by our meal at La Gondola, especially given the positive reviews.

It was fresh pasta which was well cooked, but apart from that the food was very bland. Two of us had the prawn and clam spaghetti dish which was meant to have a ginger and lime dressing but neither of us could taste any ginger. It was also served on a cold plate which meant the food got cold quickly.

My wife had the ravioli which was just tinned tomatoes as the sauce. And two of the others in our party had the lamb Ragu which like the other dishes was very bland and lacked any real flavour.

The staff were friendly but possibly a bit over stretched.

It wasn't great value either. The portion sizes were on the small size, which is acceptable if the quality is there but unfortunately it just wasn't.

All in all, had expected more...

We had two lovely weeks in Puerto Mogan and went to 13 different restaurants for our evening meals. This one was the best!

It is in a good location with a nice atmosphere and the restaurant was spotlessly clean. The staff are brilliant, very helpful and friendly.

My wife and myself shared the bread and olive oil starter. Then I had the hake main course and my wife chose the sea food lasagna. For dessert we both had the Pistachio Tiramisu. We also shared a bottle of wine. All the dishes were well presented and tasted delicious. We weren’t rushed at all, with breaks between the courses.

It’s a pity that this was the last night of our holiday, otherwise we’d have dined here again. It’ll be first on the list when we next holiday in...
