A lovely harbour front place BUT unfortunately you dropped stars for being inflexible. The vegetarian selection, of which there are 3 was dire, your choices are; veggy meatballs in tomatoe and basil sauce.....nothing else with it, no spaghetti, garlic bread etc. or a salad timble, ie. A tower of salad leaves!!!! Thinking back maybe it was a vegetable timble as how can you serve just salad leaves piled up? Or quinoa salad. I asked what as in the salad and was told mixed salad leaves and quinoa!!! There was also a goats cheese salad (but not on the vegetarian section so I assume the cheese was not vegetarian), with a honey and vinaigrette drizzle, again just mixed salad leaves and goats cheese basically. My partner ordered garlic prawns so I asked if they could do garlic mushrooms, but no. Obviously a step too far!!!!! The waiter suggested a tuna salad without the tuna, he highly recommended it, so because I was loosing the will to live, I agreed, guess what I got, yes you've guessed it, mixed salad leaves but with some thin slivers of; avocado, mango and tomato. I suppose it was the best of a bad bunch but although it looked beautiful, see photo, it was all puff and air, ie. Mainly salad leaves, oh and flowers (very filling...not)! I was left hungry, it felt like a starter rather than a main course. But the most annoying thing was that they charged me the full price for a tuna salad of €14.90.....the robbing bast**ds! €15 for a pile of salad leaves, flowers and slivers of fruit!!!!! Needless to say I didn't leave a tip, I felt like saying, "the tuna's your tip". However, my partner's garlic prawns and tomato bruschetta he says was delicious so they got an extra star for his food. If you're interested, the garlic prawns were €12.90 and the bruschetta €3.90. Wish I'd just ordered a bowl of chip's which I saw him deliver to another table. Lastly they did give me a very small glass of sangria and my partner a very small glass of beer, perhaps because I'd mentioned to the waitress when asked about the food that a bit of cheese to replace the tuna would have been nice, that I was still hungry, she suggested I had a dessert!!!! That was not the point 😕 maybe everyone gets a small glass of sangria, who knows,? Tip to the restaurant, try to be more inclusive or at least flexible of vegetarians, vegans and...
Read moreI feel quite disappointed at this restaurant. We read the reviews and were really excited to order our food. The service was mediocre, nothing that made the restaurant stand out. It was also hard getting the waiters attention, we finished our cocktails and were going to order more drinks but due to the lack of acknowledgment we received we opted against this. For the starters, we had ordered bruschetta and garlic prawns. This is hands down the worst, driest bruschetta I’d ever had. No seasoning, bland, and no garlic on it even though the menu clearly states that it has garlic. I sent the bruschetta back while the others were not happy but ate theirs when given salt and olive oil. The garlic prawns were nice though. For the mains we had a range: escalope, sea bass, waygu burger, and a mixed kebab. The escalope tasted like something out of a fast food joint, very dry and not accompanied with any sauce (very strange). The couple next to us ordered the same thing but theirs looked way better. The sea bass was cooked nicely, but does NOT come with any garnish. This bewilders me, the price of just a sea bass with no garnish is €21 you’d expect it to come with something for that price. I also ordered ‘the fish of the day’ in order to get garnish, the server also told me that they would make sure I had hollandaise sauce, as this was the main reason for me ordering a sea bass but my main course did not come with this. After already complaining about my starter, I felt indifferent about complaining again so I did not mention it. This should be the servers responsibility to make sure we have everything that we requested when taking our order. The mixed kebab was cooked perfectly however, I don’t believe that it is worth the price they charge. It’s one stick of mixed kebab and vegetables for around €18, it also does not come with any garnish. When we received our bill they charged us for the bruschetta but kindly took it off when I mentioned I had sent mine back. They also charge a fee which I didn’t mind paying as it was around €4. A positive side is that it had live music which was...
