To start off we had an amazing view over the harbour. The area is very nice and it looks like the hotel is newly renovated. The bathrooms looks new. A small fault that may as well is our fault, is that we couldn't find a do not disturb sign to hang at the door. We didn't see any other room with this as well. When the lovely cleaning staff would come, they would usually just knock on the door and open. But they do want to take good care of you. They brought us daily water and chocolate. But it lacks a little soundproofing, but in a place like this you are not supposed to stay in your room during the day anyways. Otherwise the hotel is quiet during the night and we slept well. Only one thing shocked me, was the incredibly angry bartender in the pool area. He would talk in a degrading manner towards the guests and ourselves. He talked very loudly with his colleagues instead of serving guests. You almost felt sorry for disturbing the man. In a hotel, I have actually never experienced this before. After the experience I stayed clear of the pool and bar area in fear of meeting this guy again. He would make a horrible drink and get very upset if you confronted him about this. We would get a lovely pina colada from one bartender, but when we ordered from him we got a luke warm drink that didn't resemble at all what we ordered. The pool boy delivered the drinks to us and when we asked what this was, he went to ask the bartender who just waved him off. We honestly thought that we were given beer by a mistake. For comparison I'm uploading the pictures here. One where we got a normal cocktail and the other one the stew the angry bartender gave us. So if you come for the port, book at the hotel. But if you are looking to get some good service and drinks at the pool, avoid. There is sometimes a smell at the room, but this is normal when living close to the sea / harbour.

I should start by saying that the hotel is actually pretty nice in many ways… the location looking out onto the marina as well as back across the bay is great and very picturesque. We had a room with patio access directly to the pool area which was nice. On the downside, the hotel decor is pretty dated - especially in the rooms which also had fairly basic bathrooms and furnishings - and the odd cockroach or two. Not to mention some of the firmest mattresses I’ve experienced in a hotel. We stayed half board and on a couple of occasions we stayed in and dined at the hotel - I wish we hadn’t. It’s a buffet style dining experience and not one of the best to be honest. Breakfast was ok but the evening buffet offering wasn’t very good. I think one of the most disappointing elements of the hotel is that despite being four star, and priced accordingly, there really was no sense of being looked after as treasured guests. There is a lovely roof terrace where you can watch the sun set but to get a drink you have to go all the way downstairs, through the pool area and into the restaurant/bar, where you are made to wait whilst one member of staff makes drinks for the entire restaurant before getting to non dining bar guests… I would normally expect complimentary water in the room on a daily basis but here we only received water on the first day of our 5 day stay. We also were only spoken to or welcomed by the reception staff upon check in and again upon check out - despite walking in and out daily. This may be to some guests preference but this combined with an overall sense of underwhelming guest service left us feeling a bit disappointed.

Great little hotel. It’s great location with spectacular views over the harbour or sea/beach/pool. Rooms were serviced well and nothing was too much trouble. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. In the restaurant there was great service and a good selection of foods available. good quality with plenty of choice both of hot and cold food. There was an afternoon tea served each afternoon. Which was a nice touch. I would recommend milk is available rather than coffee creamer! The pool area was kept very orderly by the pool guy. Plenty of towels, all beds and dirty towels moved quickly away when needed. In the last two days of our stay a lady was life guard….. she was the total opposite of this guy. She was mean and lazy. Dirty towels piled up and that’s if you got a towel in the first place!!!! She made it feel like you were a holiday camp and not a four star hotel! Definitely brought the vibe down. Great live music in the bar on the roof terrace a couple of the evenings we were there. No parking provided by the hotel and no arrangement with the car park next to the hotel, so parking is expensive and limited. Over all we would definitely not let the mean pool lady put us off coming again and I would definitely recommend to others.

This was our first visit to this hotel but won't be our last. Arriving at reception late in the evening, we were welcomed by the friendly reception who checked us in efficiently and provided us with some food after our long flight.||The double room over the marina (on the first floor) was perfect for us, with a small balcony and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and the staff visited regularly to replenish us with water , as well as turn down the beds and leave chocolates every evening. The rooms were kept spotless, as was the entire hotel, and all the staff from cleaners through to the restaurant staff were always friendly and keen to help with any requests. ||We stayed half board and eat in every night for the 7 nights we were there. The choice and quality of food was excellent, with lots of variety and always made to a high standard. There were different themes in the evening, including Japanese, Spanish, Italian and Chinese as well as food to suit European tastes. It may not suit those who prefer more fast food offerings but everyone should be able to find something suitable. Over a longer stay, guests may want to experiment with some of the quality restaurants nearby for an authentic Canarian food experience though.||One small point, if I was to be very nitpicky, was the couple of cats lurking when we had meals. This was not helped by some guests feeding them but I do find this is not uncommon in many hotels in Spain, Portugal and Greece. I suspect I got some frowns from diners when I would shoo them away but overall this wasn't a huge issue for us.||Although we didn't use the pool area, there always seemed to be enough sunbeds - we used the quiet rooftop area which had plenty of sunbathing options , with the roof top bar being open from Friday to Sunday. Thankfully there wasn't any loud music blaring and we got the impression that, as with the resort generally, that this is a place to relax and unwind.||The fridge in the room was stocked with complimentary soft drinks as well as some snacks, while the wine and beer in the restaurant was good quality and very reasonably priced for hotels of this standard.||The guests were all nationalities and many were repeat customers, which is always a good sign. Indeed, th guests we spoke to all loved their stay, the food and the friendliness of the staff where nothing was too much bother.||To summarise - the hotel and its location is perfect for those wanting to relax and enjoy all the hotel has to offer. The staff are very friendly, the food choices rarely disappointed but there are also some excellent dining options nearby if you fancy something different., Mogan is a quieter resort than many along the coast, except on Fridays when there's a huge market in town. We would class our experience as being one of the best in the Canaries for the price. We will be...
