So i have had 3 dinners there and sorry, not impressed. First day, a lovely women handled the service and then it was 5 star service and a weak 4 on the food, Had some focaccia and octopus with potato pureé. The puree was ok but the octopus was great and she talked me into some dessert (wasnt hard to do) the cheesecake was lovely. So i happily returned the day after and was seated by a gentleman who asked drinks or food. I said both and got both menus. Now the waiting game started. It took way to long before someone asked me if i wanted something and he quickly noticed i had been forgotten, (i was sitting "outside" the main area). Ordered some croquettes that was really good and a sirloin steak, the steak was pretty bad im afraid. Tough and and overdone. I was hoping dessert would pull up the meal but i was forgotten again and when i got some attention i just paid and left.
So, one good, one bad. I thought i would do a tie break. Started well enough despite the same table as last time, ordered a drink some starters and a main. Starters where nice but i wasnt overwhelmed by the tuna, everything needed some spice, and some texture, was soft fish, soft avacado, soft puree. But then the waiting game for another drink and dessert started. I was a minute from leaving cash and walking away. But a server noticed me and took my payment.
So tips for you reading this, go for seafood and starters. Guestt i should have tried the tapas, but i hate eating tapas solo.
Tips for the servers. When there is a lone diner, waiting is horrible. We dont have anyone to talk to and...
Read moreThe food was good and the staff friendly, the view is great. We were offered to sit on the sunbath "beds" and were served our meal and drinks.
However, we were absolutely shocked when we were asked by an official from the town to pay for the rent 20 Euro. It turned out that only the tables belong to the restaurant. There is no sign nearby showing that you have to pay and the staff did not warn us, even though we explicitly asked the waitress whether we can sit down there. We just wanted to stay there for some meal and drinks.
Luckily, when we refused to pay and accepted that the police will come the official simply went away after an intense but still polite dispute. We still felt betrayed that the waitress who invited us to come in did not warn us before because we would have simply chosen a table which belonged to the restaurant. To be fair, one of the waitresses started to discuss with the official for our case yet to no avail.
Apart from that the place is very nice and the staff friendly and helpful. After the experience, however, we will never...
Read moreThe staff was very nice but a little bit overwhelming. We just wanted to look at the menu but one of the staff just attacked us and talked/promoted so much that we couldn’t read. We got a table anyway, the view is amazing. It’s just sea everywhere. One of us ordered paella, and it took like 30-40 minutes to get the food - they warned us but said 20-35. The food came Barcelona style after - one meal after another we were 7 and got served 4 times.
The food was not good, such a disappointment. Paella and some tapas was ok. Two of us ate chicken breast, they didn’t get any side - just chicken with salad. I’ve got sea food pasta, didn’t taste anything. Added a lot of salt. My girlfriend ate ricotta ravioli and it didn’t taste anything either. And the portions were so small. Such a disappointment. Two of us got the menu in the wrong language and they didn’t understand that there was another menu and when we talked with the staff they said that “cherry” was a sauce but it was tomatoes.
Upon it all the music was so loud, lounge house music....
