El Guanche Grill — Restaurant in Mogán

EDIT: we came back for a second time and for a nice steak and the food was great yet again atmosphere was spot on and the guys remembered us and what we had to say last time we were in, noticed that a lot of the customers got the same treatment and were obviously returning so that says a lot about the food and service that you receive, don’t miss this place if your in the area.

Forgot to grab pictures as I was too busy stuffing my face, I got the enchiladas and they were really tasty portion sizes were pretty spot on partner got the tacos and they were also really tasty

Got Mexican this time but will be back for the fillet steak came past us to another table smelled and looked incredible prices more than reasonable also

We were greeted by a very friendly waiter who was a lovely guy as were the 2 other waiters that attended us. We chose the mixed starter which included squid which i dont normally eat and my wife doesnt like fish, that said i have tried it in the past and didnt like it, but this must have been cooked to perfection and was so nice. We followed this by both having the mixed grill which was plentiful and again cooked to perfection! I cant recommend both this and Mammas Chef downstairs these are truly hidden foodie treasures and also reasonably priced, I cant think of anywhere we've been since the pandemic that has provided such affordable quality - go and treat yourself! I would firstly like to say that we have had plenty of very good meals from many different countries and was certainly not expecting to better them all here. But we did.

Tonight we dined on the best Chateaubriand that we have ever had. Every ingredient on our plates was first class, matched only by the friendly service. Our only regret was leaving our visit to the last day of our trip.

In fact the meal was so good, we took a highly unusual step by interrogating our waiter on every aspect then ordering a mixed grill with other sides to share, purely to sample them. We tasted further cuts of lamb, pork and steak, all of which were amazing. We will be back in future now.
