Restaurant Kai — Restaurant in Mogán

We came here after reading the rave reviews. But in reality the food was only average, in fact the mixed starter was poor, the crispy duck was OK, my wife had chicken with peanuts which she said was nice ,but I had crispy shredded beef which I couldn't eat it all, it wasn't crispy at all and the same was way too sweet. The owners and staff were great, the price was very reasonable, and they give a very generous complementary drink after,which I had rum expecting a normal measure, it was almost half a pint! The atmosphere in the restaurant was good. Just wasn't amazing food! I don't know where all these other people who have posted such have...

I love Chinese food, but this was probably the worst I've ever had, and I've eaten it all over the world. Every dish was really poor, even the rice. Hot and Sour soup should definitely be avoided. Crispy duck was incinerated. Not even a 1 out of 5. I don't expect the food to be like it is in China, but this bore no relation at all. Sichuan dishes are supposed to be spicy, for instance, but none of it here. We left much of our food, but no one even asked why. How does this place get a 4.6 score? Elderly customers from our experience, who clearly have no idea what good Chinese...

Ordered Beef in black bean sauce..sweet and sour chicken ..egg fried rice….salt n pepper ribs ..and sorry to say all meals bland in flavour and not the taste i’m use to compared to what i order at home ..maybe i’m spoiled to the chinese Takeout i get every weekend and comparing..and can only comment on the dishes i had..this is only my opinion and not a criticism of this place because everybody have different taste “s and can’t fault the speedy ,friendly service i received.. Give it a try..many people have given good...
