Clearly, many of these positive reviews were written by people unfamiliar with real Indian cuisine.
This place does not serve authentic Indian food.
Firstly, the staff also rushed us to order, saying they said they were closing soon, yet still chose to seat us. If you’re not willing to serve properly, you shouldn’t be accepting customers in the first place.
We ordered two Chicken Tikka Masalas and one Butter Paneer. All three dishes were just so sweet — it honestly felt like I was eating spoonfuls of sugar with each mouthful. There was no spice, no depth, no aroma of garlic or onion and none of the rich masala flavour you’d expect, just overwhelming sweetness.
These dishes aren’t supposed to be sweet — a small amount of sugar is typically added to cut the acidity of the tomatoes, not to make it taste like masala pudding!
As a diabetic, this made me feel physically unwell, and my sugar levels spiked significantly afterwards.
When we raised our concerns, the response was simply, “This is how Spanish people like it.” That explanation doesn’t cut it. Being Indian myself, having eaten at countless Indian restaurants in London and cooked these dishes at home, I can confidently say: this is far from authentic.
The use of excessive food colouring (likely RED 40) was also concerning — enough to make anyone feel sick. The Chicken Tikka Grill was bland and lacked any spice or flavour. The garlic naan had no noticeable garlic or butter taste. The rice was just… rice.
If you’re looking for proper Indian food, skip this place, I highly suggest you go elsewhere for a...
Read moreDear customers, I would like to flag this restaurant to all of you and warn you once! We walked the beaches side all the way from Patalavaca Stop to this restaurant for it authentic taste as mentioned by some reviewers, we were pleasantly invited although we hadn’t booked our table prior but for a payment of 25% on our total bill. My kids and I were (family of 4)so excited to order, we ordered Palak Paneer, Tandoori Rotis, Butter Naan, Lamb Biryani and Chicken Tikka Masala. The quantity arrived way to small as normal served by any other restaurants. We had the food, found bit uneasy as we had that small quantity fetched our tummy so much, couldn’t eat anymore. After paying a bill if 104€ we started walking back home. We felt so uneasy with bloating and vomiting feeling, after reaching home we all four experienced Indigestion over night and bloating and vomiting. I doubt if they add too much Soda in food that results brings health problems. We have never felt this way in any other restaurants during our 6 day visit but this one had a bad impact on our health. Please be warned! Don’t go with the taste, it’s very...
Read moreWe have visited this restaurant two years in a row, but unfortunately, both experiences have been disappointing due to the consistently overcooked meat. Both the chicken and lamb were chewy and dry, which applied not only to the tandoori dishes but to other meat dishes as well. Having cooked and eaten plenty of Indian cuisine, I can confidently say this was not an issue of “authenticity” but of poor technique. When we raised this concern last year, the server dismissed it as the way tandoori is supposed to be, which is simply incorrect.
On the positive side, the starters, naan, and sauces were flavorful, showing that the kitchen has potential in other areas. However, the overcooked meat overshadowed the experience both times we dined here.
The host outside, attempting to pull in customers, felt more intrusive than inviting. While this approach is common in tourist areas, it detracts from the atmosphere and initial impression.
Overall, the restaurant has strengths but needs to address basic cooking techniques and improve its attention to detail to enhance the...
