We met the owner of the restaurant frequently on the street and felt more or less obliged to give the restaurant a try after rejecting numerous invitations. The staff was a little unorganized, but friendly enough. However the food was quite disappointing. As a starter I tried the mixed bruschetta platter. It consisted of three pieces of a toasted baguette: tomato, melted cheese and green pesto. I think the baguette was bought frozen from a supermarket and heated in the oven. My entrecote was served with a salad which reminded me of the pre cut salad you buy in plastic bags from the supermarket. The meat was tasteless and needed every bit of help from pepper sauce and some additional salt and pepper. My daughter ordered a hamburger, which was served as a piece of meat in bread, no topping as salad, tomato, ketchup or anything. To be fair, she had been asked if she would like a side order salad which she declined, and this could possibly explain the lack of topping. My wife had a chicken burrito, it actually looked decent enough, but the meat was so stringy that neither of us were able to eat it, even though we have perfectly good teeth. I see that the restaurant has a lot of 4/5 star ratings which I personally have a hard time understanding. Maybe a lot of their customers go there for drinks rather than to enjoy a meal, or I just picked the wrong day. There are several great restaurants in Mogan, however the Mogan Mar is definitely...
Read moreI made the mistake of eating in this restaurant again after eating here before and it was not very good at all. I basically gave them another chance.
I visited with family. We were the only people in the restaurant. The waiter just would not let us chill for a minute without wanting to take our orders. I said it's dead in here mate please give us a while to have a drink and have a good look at the menu, but was back again in 2 mins asking for our order.
We should at that point, thinking back now, just left and paid for the drinks.
I had Prawns in garlic oil for a starter. The amount of salt in it was a joke or did they over salt it on purpose 💭 I think so.
My granddaughters Lasagna was disgusting and wasn't eaten. It was like it had gone through a blender.
My grandson had the kids burger and had 1 mouthful and wouldn't eat any more and said it tasted horrible.
My main was the lamb chops. I have never had lamb so chewy and left most of it. Tbh the lamb wasn't even chops, just nasty gristly fatty cuts of crap.
My wife and I can't even remember what she had, but if it was nice you would have.
The waiters were either like they were coked out of their heads or very over friendly to my grandkids and it was very unsettling and strange. My granddaughter hated it and was scared of the waiter.
I visit Morgan 2 or 3 times a year for a week at a time and I swear I'll never set foot in this terribly run dive again and advise you to...
Read moreWhole place has stuck to the 90’s. Service was the worst part. We got to play this ever so funny ”let me guess where you are from” -game. Sadly they started it after we had sat down, otherwise I would have known not to go there in the first place. Staff was constantly running around the tables making the stay very unpleasant. It must have been their method of getting people leave, so they can set their traps for new customers. The table cleaning they had mastered really well, and were very efficient in it! They also seemed so entertained by their own presence that in a more familiar culture I might have thought at least some of them were under the influence of something.
Food was something you could expect from a petrol station in Finland, which is ok. On a vacation would have liked better though. Two stars for not...
