We visited Restaurante Grill Terraza Taurito on a Thursday afternoon in early May and overall had a really enjoyable experience.
The location is spot on—right on the seafront with a fantastic view over the beach and sea. It wasn’t too busy, so we managed to grab a table with a great view. The vibe was relaxed, the staff seemed cheerful, and there was music playing along with three different football matches on the screens, which added a lively touch.
To start, we had the garlic bread and the Iberian ham croquettes. The garlic bread was okay, a little overdone, and the croquettes didn’t quite hit the mark—I probably wouldn’t order them again. That said, the portion sizes were generous.
For mains, we both went for steak—one ribeye and one T-bone—and they were absolutely massive. Worth noting these were the standard cuts, not the premium matured options, yet still the ribeye must’ve been at least 14oz and the T-bone easily 16oz+. They came out sizzling on hot skillets, which added to the experience. The meat was tasty and good quality, although there was quite a bit of fat, which is to be expected with these cuts. Still, great value for the size and flavour.
The steaks came with chips and salad. The chips were just standard frozen ones—nothing special. It would really elevate the meal if they made their own chips, as that could set them apart.
We also had a couple of cocktails: a Sex on the Beach and a Banana Colada. Both were decent but on the weaker side—more holiday vibes than a proper kick.
A tip if you’re planning to visit: pop down during the day before you plan to eat, and they might give you a card for 10% off your meal. Just double-check it’s applied to your bill—we had to remind them and get the total adjusted at the end.
They also gave us a complimentary shot of honey rum with the bill, which was a really nice touch.
All in all, it’s a lovely spot with a great setting, decent food, and reasonable prices. The staff work hard to look after you, and dining with that sea view is always a win. Definitely worth checking out if you’re...
Read moreThe overriding point of writing this review is to urge customers to BEWARE OF HAVING YOUR DRINK SPIKED! I cannot prove who did it - whether it was a member of staff or someone else - but the effects were horrible for my wife.
We’d eaten a meal which was acceptable and she had a gin and tonic. Shortly after we got up to leave and it was as if she was seriously drunk, but she wasn’t and couldn’t have been.
She was violently ill as we made our way back to our hotel and lost consciousness. It was only through the intervention of incredibly kind local people that I managed the 15 minute trek back to the hotel.
I took advice from a paramedic and sat up all night on a vigil to ensure her safety.
When she eventually regained her senses she had absolutely no recollection of the previous 10 hours.
It took her all day to return to anything like normal and hotel staff remarked on how her eyes didn’t seem right.
In a perverse way my wife was fortunate. I was with her and was able to keep her safe from any other ramifications of having had her drink spiked.
If I’d have known the identity of the perpetrator I’d more than likely be writing this from a Spanish prison cell.
I can only urge people to be hyper vigilant if attending this establishment. I wouldn’t want what happened to my wife to happen to other...
Read moreThis place does not worth your visit.
On the one hand they offered me comfortable chairs and Cola from a can On another hand: it is too loud here (extremely!), you can not enjoy your food cause several restaurants located near and each of them playing their own music, so we were having dinner in the middle of chaos: disco music from the left and serenades on the right. me and a friend took burgers and it were the worst burgers in our life. Meat had strange taste, i got a piece of paper sticked to mine. The bun was bad too. They did not roast it, it tasted as super cheap one, it was breaking in hands. Also they did not put any sauce inside, the veggies were tasteless. no sunset view at this location in July (despite it was offered online)
I do not understand why this place has high points on google. It looks to me like a lie.
Maybe this place good with cocktails or fish, but they deffenitely have no clue how to manage meat. My evening got spoiled after visit...
