Ristorante Il Molino — Restaurant in Mogán

Tonight we visited this Resturant after checking the menu previous evening. It was busy but we were seated and gave our drinks and food orders. Our drinks arrived 20 minutes later after chasing with the waiter apologising. Our starter just cheesy garlic bread arrived 30 minutes later minus the cheese but we did not complain as they we’re busy. A couple on the next table who arrived at the same time had had their drinks and food within twenty minutes. With no main meal in site I complained to the waiters who were by now avoiding eye contact. We kept been advised it was on its way. My meal arrived 45 minutes later and it was a salmon fillet when I ordered salmon linguine and went to the trouble of pointing the dish out on the menu to the waiter. My wife’s meal was still no were in sight. At this point I asked the waiter to get me the bill as I was fed up waiting. They charged me for drinks and wrong starter with no apology apart from waiter stating he did not take the order. Very poor service and least expected was scrap bill or offer discount fo meal at future date. The resturant knew we were tourists and could not be bothered to try to appease us for the appalling service. I suggest this resturant is avoided at all cost if it is busy as they do not care a dam about...

We ate here two times and both were great. The salmon with dill sauce and a side of baked potato is excellent, all flavors are familiar for sure but you can taste how well it's prepared and I would say the dish is especially suitable for the Finnish taste. Pasta portions are too small here, the pistachio and prawns tagliatelle is enough if you are not super hungry and the ragu filled raviolis sauteed in butter and sage are a starter, maybe 5 or 6 raviolis on the plate, but when we commented on that they agreed and told us that you can of course ask for a little more. I didn't know this beforehand so by the time I had already eaten they had ran out of the raviolis (the restaurant was already closing), but they were kind to bring me a portion of classic lasagna so that I wouldn't leave the place hungry and that was nice. The best food was definitely the catch of the day grilled in a salt shell and served with canary potatoes and some sauce that was just perfect for the dish. Food was very tasty, however, it took well over 30 mins just to take a food order, 4 of the Avocado Prawn starters mistakenly came with no prawns, a T Bone didn't arrive at all then arrived undercooked & had to be sent back.
