Breakfast with my family, around 50€ in food. The waiter comes and makes me move out of the cafe because I was using my laptop. I told her it was just some mins and was said it was policy. I understand that nobody wants a guy with one espresso occupy a table for hours, but it was obvious this was a family full breakfast and we would be gone soon. I had to seat by a fountain 10 meters away to be able to respond some urgent emails. You really have to learn how to differentiate cases instead of applying a reasonable policy in the most stupid way.
EDIT: if I stayed it wasn’t because agreeing to such outrageous policy (ambiance? Please this is in the middle of the street and nobody cared about anything different to their own breakfast, it’s as touristy as it can be) but because I WAS NOT KEEN to move the other 4 people from my family to another spot in the scorching heat at that moment and I didn’t had the 5-10 minutes that would take me to go to other place.
