El Limonero — Restaurant in Nerja

We spotted this great looking bar on our last visit to Nerja and thought it looked like somewhere we'd like to try. Last night we did just that and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted by very warm and friendly staff and a wonderful cocktail menu. The tastefully decorated space have such a great vibe with music playing and a the sound of people chatting and enjoying themselves. I ordered a Caipirinha and my husband had a Negroni, knowing how these cocktails should taste the bar was high and we both agreed they were absolutely delicious! This is exactly the perfect, friendly, neighbourhood bar to sit outside and watch village life. An international team run it with friendly efficiency. I am not sure about the food selection as I was attracted to their selection of cocktails. I was a little hesitant to order one as I have had some strange experiences when ordering a cocktail in this area. Cocktails are not really in the Spanish culture. However, as this is an international team, they "got" it. Proper cocktails! I commented to the bartender how I did not expect that level of quality and he started showing me some if his bartending techniques. Well done! No seats outside went to table inside ( really warm ) staff seemed under pressure. Lovely female working the bar and serving ( under pressure) Chef was helping out in between trying to fix the television.I asked for menu which was offered and then nothing. Chef continued to try and fix television. I paid for drinks and left. Pros, Nice place, decent alcohol service, staff friendly. Cons needs another staff member, really needs to get that...
