Had eaten here a couple of times before and always enjoyed the food, so knowing it was always busy we booked a table "in the shade" for this evening. We arrived on time, stood at the entrance to confirm our reservation, but when a waiter stormed out from inside he was clearly annoyed about something, ranting about "people" and waved us away while we tried to speak to him. Meanwhile he started moving chairs aggressively and muttering loudly. When we finally got a chance to speak to him and explain that we had a booking and gave our name he stormed inside without a word. When he came back, a couple tried to sit at an empty table at the front, he shouted at them "reserved!" and pointed to us, slapped down menus and told us this was our table ... which was actually completely out in the blazing sun. He then stood above us and demanded "Drinks?" When we started looking at the menu he gave a disgusted grunt and stormed off again. At that we just got up and left as we would never have had a relaxed meal after that. It's a nice place we've enjoyed in the past. It will be no skin off their nose as they could probably fill the place twice over every night. It's just so disappointing and unnecessary. We had a really nice dinner somewhere else ... with friendly...
Read moreCalled in as looking for something to eat, very quick to sit us down etc but took ages for them to come & take the order, I seen a table of 6 come in so I eventually got up & asked if someone could take our order so we could order before the 6 as we had already been there 30 minutes , I ordered the prime steak & my wife the monkfish skewer, my steak being medium, after absolutely ages they came out & served the table of 6 first even though we ordered before, now it takes minutes to cook steak & monkfish, I got up again and asked when ours would be coming & a few minutes later it came, my steak was rare, very rare, definitely not medium & my wife’s monkfish was stone cold & the prawns that came with it still had there waste sacks inside so I called the waiter & he took them away only to bring them back 10 minutes later, with the wastes sacks still in the prawns, my steak very well done and my wife’s monkfish now overcooked, personally I would never go back & out of the 3 weeks we have been here eating at two restaurants a day this was by...
Read moreWe have just arrived in Nerja for a month stay. We saw The Mirasol a two minute walk from our accommodation. It was busy, the food coming out looked really good and plenty of staff. There was plenty of space between tables and the ambience was very relaxing. The menu caters for all tastes, fish, meats, pasta dishes, pizzas etc. Very good varied menu, excellent wine and drinks lists and all the prices were very reasonable. We had the Calamari which was so fresh and divine, the Gambas pil pil was delicious, and the pimienta peppers were fabulous. The waiting staff were all exceedingly friendly, polite and professional. Fine dining, 5 star professional service without the 5 star prices. Going back in a couple of days for the Monkfish and prawns which looks amazing! Well done...
