Sa Placeta — Restaurant in Palma

Firstly, I was slightly worried because the outside seating and especially the tables looked very tired and in need of an upgrade...

I needn't of worried, the chef here sure knows what they're doing!...

I've seen a few reviews that say the menu is small and very expensive for what you get... That looks the case but when we went they had a specials board with a choice of 3 course meals for just €20!... This was outstanding value for such high-end cuisine!...

The portion sizes were perfect and the flavours outstanding... I had a smile on my face afterwards anyway...

The staff all seemed to be very professional and well trained... The only downside was that they brought out the wrong starter which meant we had to wait even longer on top of an already slow service...

Me and my friend noticed that this restaurant had a top rating and chose to eat lunch there today. The menu was super short and contained no meat. One bruschetta was 6 euros and a “salad with fetachese” contained only traces of feta and had 8 small pieces of tomato which we payed 13 euros for. Basically we payed 13 euros for one tomato with some olive oil. The drinking menu was overpriced as well. Nice surroundings though, that’s why it deserves 1 star...

What a surprise?! If you don't want just eating, rather having a pleasure food experience, this is the place you are looking for. Book a table outside in the placeta and be ready to taste original and revised recipes. A particular mention for the delicate aioli recommended also for non garlic lover, fresh salmorejo and fried boquerones a perfect balance of flavors.
