Cafetería D'or — Restaurant in Palma

For a spanish caffeteria it is a pretty big place. However, profesionalism and hygiene of the staff is below minimum.

Yes, you get served 4 peaces of bread with tomato which is unusual for Spain as they usually serve only 2 per portion but, all of that goes in the water when one notices the hygiene.

There is no soap and paper neither in male or female bathroom. On my question "Can I get sme soap to wash my hands after the toilet?", they answered we don't have soap for the toilet.

As a professional, in a restauration and hostelry it does not matter what culture you come from, country or tradition because standards of hygiene are standards of hygiene. This bar is way under the standards of hygiene. If they don't have soap in the toilets, imagine then the hygiene of those who prepare your food, touches your glasses and cups.

It is very disappointing to see things like this and I do not recommend you going there as nobody should support people that wants to do things their own way and not according to the law and standards that are there...

Sehr autentische Kneipe. Hier gibt es keine Touristen, und sie sind auch nicht auf touristen eingerichtet. Wenn man eine Karte verlangt (panthomimisch, deutsch, englisch helfen nicht) bekommt man ein altes Handy mit Bilder einer Karte, die uns, aufgrund mangelnder Sprachkenntnisse auch nicht hilft. Wir haben und dann für "Platos variados grande" entschieden. (Der Kellner meinte auf die Frage, was drauf ist: "alles") Überraschend, lecker, beeindruckend, interessant! Ca. 8 Gerichte auf einem Teller. Polpo in Tomatensauce, Leber, div. Würste, Kartoffeln, Thunfischsalat, diverse Fleischstückchen, Schnecken. Manches davon sehr lecker, manches langweilig, einiges nicht erkennbar. Und es reicht für zwei! wir haben, mit Getränken (ein Bier, zwei Wein) 18€ bezahlt (2025). 500m Richtung Meer, und man bekommt für den Preis nur zwei Gläser Wein. Beim zweiten Besuch haben das mit der Karte gelassen. (ich nehme an, die Einheimischen wissen einfach, was es gibt) Mein Frau bestellte auf Verdacht Salat mit Thunfisch. (Kopfnicken). Ich zeigte ihm aus den Google Bilder ein Gericht, dass ich haben wollte. (lachen, Si, Si, Kopfnicken) Ich weiß bis heute noch nicht, was ich bestellt habe, aber es war lecker (gut, Salz fehlte) und hätte wieder locker für zwei gereicht.

Für jemanden, der etwas abenteuerlustig ist, bereit seine Kompfortzone zu verlassen, und echte malloquinische Küche erleben will, eine...

We had a really good time at Cafeteria D’Or. Best food and delicious sangria, you can go there without hesitation.
