We were looking forward to our stay at Es Princep for a while and we couldn't wait to enjoy the rooftop pool and bar, as well as the spa facilities.
From the moment we arrived everything was great. As it was a birthday trip, the hotel welcomed us with a bottle of wine, which was waiting for us in our room. On the day of my partner's birthday we received a bottle of Cava and a small cake too, which was a great thoughtful touch.
The hotel itself is quite minimalist in its decor, however in the best possible way. Imagine a lovely boutique hotel with the facilities of a way bigger 5 star hotel. The rooftop bar with the amazing views, great drinks and food is absolutely amazing, especially on those lazy days when you're not feeling like exploring Palma and its surroundings. Due to Covid the spa facilities/gym had to be booked for 1-2hr slots, however that made it great to enjoy them just with your partner or family. The gym is small, but good enough, while the Spa area is just amazing. A warm pool, a couple of jacuzzis, a sauna and a steam bath were just great. The rooms themselves are perfect, you'll find everything you need there; a coffee machine, and TV, a safe, and enough space in the wardrobe for any traveller.
However, the thing that made this stay so good was the hotel staff. Everyone, from the reception staff, through management and the bar staff on the rooftop were just amazing. Extremely kind, attentive and most helpful. A big shout out to Jorge, Mario and Annalia who helped us plan almost every single one of our day-trips, sorted out booking scooters and cycles and all of our other requests. Every request we threw out them they went out of their way to help us, always with a smile on their faces. Their customer service truly sets this hotel apart from any other we've ever stayed at. We would also like to give a special thank you to Tony and Pau at the rooftop bar and Hotel Manager Joseba for assuring we're comfortable during our stay. If we ever come back to Mallorca we would definitely stay here again to experience the best in...
Read moreI knew that Es Pricep would be a well-designed, beautiful place but having a good-looking hotel is one thing, and having a well-run hotel is something completely different.
The staff at Es Princep will make you feel like you are the most important person in the world! It's really a quality that is so hard to come by and it changes the entire experience!
Literally everyone at this hotel will go above and beyond to make your stay in Mallorca the most amazing experience—from the staff who greets you at the door and helps with your luggage, to the incredibly nice and helpful concierge (Sergio and his twin brother helped us with wine tour reservations, countless restaurant phone calls and other recommendations), to the manager Joseba who greeted us every morning at breakfast offering his help with anything we needed (and really, ALL breakfast staff, who were just so wonderful and smiling and welcoming), to super nice and friendly Mike, up on the roof and in the restaurant in the evening.
Other than that, Es Princep checks all the marks: wonderfully located in a quiet area but very close to the Cathedral and bars and restaurants, amazing rooftop bar and pool with the best sunset views incredible breakfast beautiful rooms and communal areas fantastic spa with an indoor pool and saunas
(If there is one thing that I'd warn you about is the unfortunate bathroom design that plagued hotels a few years ago - a toilet is a transparent glass box with no real door, so there's little to no toilet privacy...
Read moreWe stayed for 6 nights in a privilege double with sea view.
Our check-in was made very pleasant. Everyone involved was eager to make a relaxed arrival possible and to acclimatize us. The room was attractive, contemporary and upscale, unfortunately without a balcony, but this did not spoil the beautiful view. Except for the fact that there was no running water one evening, I have no complaints. This also basically applies to the perfect location and very good facilities of the hotel.
As far as the service of the hotel is concerned, I had to gain paradoxical impressions. There were four really excellent employees: Sofia (trainee), Tony, Daniel and Alejandro - many thanks to you for the at any time without exception impeccable accommodation (5/5*!). This impression is unfortunately less true otherwise: housekeeping is unreliable, service at breakfast on the roof terrace was disorganized and inattentive, the same applies to dinner on the roof terrace, and at the reception I noticed procedural weaknesses. Among other things, this was several times not to reach by phone, callbacks failed to materialize.
The quality of the food was good to very good at table times (the Tomahawk is highly recommended), while the snacks and lunch dishes can be described as good at best.
In summary, Es Princep has tremendous potential. I would still like to recommend it because it is an extraordinary location, but at the same time I would like to appeal to the management to redefine...
