Unfortunately we left from here very disappointed. We arrived a little before 8pm after walking across the city, the restaurant was still empty except for one couple who were already eating and a table of three people having drinks. The place is not huge but there were plenty of empty tables available all around. We were told it would not be possible to eat because they had a huge reservation for about 50 people who would all come at once so the kitchen could not cope (we were a party of 2). We were told we could stay for a drink and after asking a bit more we were offered the only option to eat: nachos. We kept expecting the restaurant to suddenly get filled but this never happened! After about 40 minutes of us sitting eating the nachos we didn’t initially want, a group of 13 people arrived… the rest of the restaurant was still mostly empty except for the couple of people who were there before us and 1-2 extra tables that were reserved. We could still see at least 4-5 tables available. The worst was when paying the bill at the bar, we saw a couple arrive, they knew the man at the bar and asked for a table, I speak spanish so I could understand what they were saying, the barman said he would sort them out! In the meantime while he was giving me my bill he said something about how we at least had some nachos! (13 eur for vegan nachos if you can believe it). Sadly not coming back, the other waiters were very nice but the barman/owner gave us the worst...
Read moreAte here on a whim, seeing a photo of the garden on their sandwich board outside the shop and decided to give it a go. I should say that I am neither vegan nor vegetarian, though I am perfectly happy to eat food without flesh if it is well done. Firstly, the outside space at the rear (check their website for photos) is one of the nicest spaces to eat in that I have found in the centre of Palma. Off the street, it is planted with gorgeous chaos, tables set out under the trees and in private little corners. The service (if a bit slow) was friendly and enthusiastic. I ate the special of the day - marrow/zucchini stuffed with veg and served in a pumpkin sauce, which tasted quite similar to piccalilli, so possibly made with mustard and turmeric and served with a generous side salad. it was one of the best things i ate in Palma last month. Though they serve beer here, they make a song and dance about their fruit drinks. I had some kind of fruit punch (non-alcoholic) which was delicious. A special place for lunch run by very nice people. I wish you every success with your business and look forward to seeing...
Read moreLocation: The restaurant only gets its full beauty on the inside. according to the motto, don't judge the book by its cover. I is very harmoniously furnished, plants everywhere and something to discover. There is some seats but would recommend reserving. Reception could be occupied somehow, you come in and don't know what to do at first. There is small sign but it take some time to see it.
Food: I ordered the special bread with vegan alioli as a starter, Beyond Burger, Seitan Nugget Sandwich, carrot cake and almond cake with vanilla icecream. Everything tasted very good. You can feel that a lot is freshly prepared and homemade. It was a little struggle with the blunt knife but I was able to master it. I was very impressed by the taste of everything.
Service: The staff wasn't the friendliest, but they weren't rude either. For example, when I ordered dessert, he quickly left without asking if I would like a coffee as well. had to call after him. these are small details but they make the difference.
I would definitely come back to try other vegan...
