Nice little art history museum (there is very little about the history of Mallorca, but more the artists who painted here).

The first floor is a bit dull - all pre 1800 religious paintings which didn’t capture the imagination. However the top floor was quite good with some nice impressionist and landscape and impressionist style paintings of Mallorca and it’s beautiful mountains. Some of the works of Joan O’Neille on display were magnificent.

The museum was free when I went there so well worth a quick visit (I actually preferred this over the modern art museum which is another contemporary art museum with absolute trash on display in an...

It's a rather small museum, but worth visiting to see the artworks of Mallorca's artists throughout the ages. Some of the paintings were especially striking with their vibrant colors and beautiful techniques, but I also admired the sculptures a lot.

The tickets were very affordable, the AC inside was a blessing, and in addition to that, there were very few visitors, so I could look at everything in peace. My tour of the place took...

It is an art history place explaining the transformation through centuries! You can see the paintings and sculptures beginning from 12th century to 19th century. You will be surprised what can the museum offer you regarding the details of the artworks. There is no English explanations on the works but there are English explanations on the period informations. It's free to enter and not crowded.
