Viva San Fermín — Restaurant in Pamplona

Service is horrendous especially if you’re a foreigner. Took close to 2 hours to receive our food while other customers who sat after us received their food faster. A party of 8 who sat 30 mins after us were quickly catered to and received their orders in a timely manner. We went through 3 different waiters. 1st waiter must have forgotten our food because he was just walking around laughing with other customers. 2nd waiter was great but they sent him home. 3rd waitress was good but she must have been busy with other customers after they sent the 2nd waiter home. Owner/manager stands at the door with this lazy stare with know care in the world while I’m waving him down. He made no attempt to help the staff accept to stand at the door with his arms crossed. We had sangria here, and it was decidedly foul—I strongly recommend avoiding it. I can’t speak to the rest of their menu, but the sangria was overpriced and made with an excessive amount of cheap liquor. Not sure what liquor they put in it, but it tasted pretty rank. The fruit was limited to a couple mangy orange slices and tiny quarter slices of lemon. To top it off, it cost 9 euros each! Outrageous. The only good thing that can be said about this place was the outdoor seating was pretty nice. The service was relatively quick, though the man going around wiping tables had a disgruntled air about him, not returning a smile nor acknowledging a thanks. Ordered menu del dia for 2 which includes desert and drink. Was the told about a €2 surcharge per person for eating outside. Food was not great. Desert options were poor but it was said we could swap the desert for a coffee. We did this. When the bill arrived we were then told that the drink included was only water or wine not beet as was stated in a slightly more expensive menu option. This was not hilighted at the start.
