Can’t recommend Ca'n Moixet (aka Cafe Espanyol) enough for anyone visiting Pollenca! This charming cafe is exactly what you dream of finding on a Mallorcan holiday.
Authentic atmosphere: The place oozes with local character. From the friendly staff to the traditional decor, it feels like a true hidden gem away from the tourist crowds.
Delicious food and drinks: Whether you're looking for a strong coffee to kickstart your day, a light lunch of tapas and local cheeses, or a refreshing glass of Spanish wine in the evening, Ca'n Moixet delivers. The portions are generous, the ingredients fresh, and the prices very reasonable.
Perfect people-watching spot: Grab a seat on the terrace and soak up the lively atmosphere of Pollenca's main square. Watch the world go by, people chat, and maybe even catch a glimpse of a traditional Mallorcan parade.
Bonus points: The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, even if your Spanish is a bit rusty. They're happy to answer questions and recommend local specialties.
Overall: This is a must-visit for anyone in Pollenca. Ca'n Moixet is the perfect spot for a relaxing break, a delicious bite, and a taste of authentic Mallorcan charm. 5...
Read moreWe went here on our first night in Mallorca. Not having done much research, this square is where you'll start getting your bearings. We liked the look of the traditional bar and, because there were no seats available outside we said we would sit inside and have a drink whilst we waited which was a great plan as we could chat to the barman about the wines and settled for a delicious local rosado. Locals eating proper tapas at the bar and it generally had a great vibe, we were almost tempted to stay inside but the lure of people watching outside was too much. The food was great. Try the 'tapas' part of the menu. Although the burgers looked good - you're by the coast and the fish is SO fresh. And you're in Mallorca...try the local specialties. We didn't have time to go back but if we did, we would probably sit inside and work our way through the...
Read moreAbsolutely lovely. I would take any meal of the day here. It just feels right. Effortlessly old fashioned class. The bar feels like it’s stayed the same - elegant functionality since the 1930s - it feels like home - like somewhere you’d want to host friends and family - big landmarks… because it’s got that ‘something’ Food delicious and varied. Unpretentious - and wonderful. Feels like the place a visitor or Majorcan / Pollencan has shared space for decades.
The staff are unbelievably hard working, welcoming and proficient. Our regular waitress/hostess was genuine charm personified. Effortlessly elegant, polite, considerate and professional. I hope the owner cherishes his/her team - they are top class.
We love coming to this place again and again - the photos on the wall show it’s been part of Pollencan community for years.
