The food was overpriced and the waiter was really rude. I ordered a gazpacho that was rather expensive and it appeared to be extremely tiny (in a little glass). I told the waiter politely that I was surprised over the size of dish and he immediately turned very aggressive. He told me that no one else had ever complained (like this matter), and that vegetables were expensive. My husband had a huge salad for about the same price, so I think his reasoning was slightly skew. I didn’t say anything more and ate the gazpacho. It was ok, but not fantastic. Like something processed you can buy in any supermarket. And compared to the price it was a really bad dish. Doubled size would have been reasonable. The waiter came back and asked me what I thought of it, in a rather condescending tone. I asked if he wanted an honest review, and then he just turned around and went away. When he came back with the bill, I asked him why he asked me the question if he didn’t wanted to hear the answer. “Because I know it’s good”, he said. I was really looking forward to a peaceful moment by the sea – just a glass of wine, some bread with aioli, and the sound of the waves. The atmosphere was pleasant at first. I deliberately chose a small two-person table, even though the restaurant was nearly empty and plenty of tables were available.

When my girlfriend arrived later, she wasn’t feeling well. So we decided to leave for the moment. We simply wanted a short break – and had even thought about coming back later with friends, because the place felt cozy and inviting.

But then the energy shifted completely: the owner returned with visible resentment and accused me of "only drinking and eating bread." His words came off as condescending and rude – completely out of place, especially since I was a calm guest, had ordered and paid, and wasn’t bothering anyone.

When we paid, he handed us the change deliberately in small coins – clearly to express his disapproval. I’ve honestly never experienced anything like that before. And I say this as someone who always shows kindness and respect.
