Trocadero — Restaurant in Pollença

New restaurant (opened in June 23) which deserves to be discovered! I usually do not give 5 stars because that means there is nothing which can be improved! But in this case we felt so welcome and left totally satisfied that I had to give the 5 stars! The restaurant is runned by an Argentine family, the kitchen and dishes are very much Argentine style. Tasty, nicely presented and the portions are just generous. We choose the entrecote, the ribs and chicken schnitzel. Starter: Argentine empanadas. The staff has genuine interest if you like the food when they come to ask. Our kids said this was the best meal during this holiday?! The restaurant is located in a small street between the main square and the famous Calvari Steps in Pollença. Actually you see the stairs already from the terrace. The other day we had a very average experience at another restaurant on the Pollença main square and compared with that evening tonight was totally different and relaxing. And good food! What could be improved? Hmm, the Tiramisu was more icy than creamy… but this is complaining at a very high level! A new restaurant on our Mallorca list - the other one...

Great place, the food was amazing, I had the chicken skewers, lovely staff, was very reasonably priced. I'm so glad i found this restaurant at the start of our holiday because we'll definitely be going back. Could not fault it. I would highly recommend this place.

We went back for drinks and reserved a table for lunch on our last day. I had the club sandwich and ordered the patatas bravas, it was really lovely. My partner had the empanadas. He said they were amazing. We enjoyed it that much we decided to book our last evening meal there. We are so glad we did they really did look after us. Agostina was just perfect. Nothing was too much trouble for her, and Cristina made the perfect long island iced t cocktail (which wasn't on the menu). Because the chicken skewers are so good, i ordered them again and asked if I could swap the fries for patatas bravas. My partner had the ribs which he loved. We ate here as a group of 8 a few days ago and had a very disappointing experience. While the steak and tapas were okay (steak was over cooked and ‘spicy potatoes’ were soft with vinegary hot sauce) , a lot was left to be desired. Most upsettingly, my mum ordered the vegetable bbq which clearly stated it came with a side salad and chips which then arrived and was little more than a few sad grilled vegetables on a plate. For 26€ this was very poor value for money, and when we politely asked about the chips and salad, the staff were incredibly rude. They stated that it did not come with the sides, despite what was said on the menu and that it instead came with a ‘jacket potato’ this was actually barely bigger than a new potato. The member of staff then was very rude and abrupt, stating with attitude ‘what do you want me to do about it?’ Overall this completely tainted our experience here and unfortunately the food was not good enough to make up for the bad attitude...
