I am Irish, my Partner is from Bilbao, her mother is Galician we were 4 people went previously to have a drink few days before and female waitress was very nice. During our holiday here we went last nite. I went asked the guy if they had a restrauant and were they open to serve food and there was 4 of us.. He looked at me up and down it was as clear as daylight, he made his judgment and said no. Looking around on the way out, i did not suit his requirements for eating with them or to pass his doorway. It was fairly early around 8.30, from outside no one was upstairs or in the tables downstairs, We been to Austurias, Basque region drank the cider it was never carbonised through a machine was always done the traditional way by hand pouring from a height and have never been turned away from anywhere like the way i was judged tonite. My partner and I run a restrauant in Ireland and we never judge anyone, we would serve the odd alcoholic that came in looking for food and they would pay but we would give it for free. We serve custmers from all walks of life and never judge anyone. I feel so angry that I was treated so horribly and just by pure judgement you dont deserve a 1 star hope your proud of yourselfs. Now how come i wore the same outfit and was welcomed into this wonderful Hotel Hospital Real de Santiago de Compostela. No matter where we went in the hotel was I judge or looked at, the way I was when standing at yourway and here are some photos of this wonderful,...
Read moreWe were tempted by one of the few places on Google that showed as open at 7pm and looking forward to cachopo, but sadly, we never made it in the doors. The hostess not-so-kindly informed us that the kitchen, in fact, wouldn't open until "7:30 or 8." When we asked her to clarify - 7:30 and 8 are different times! - she said that the chef may or may not show up at 7:30 and he may or may not show up at 8, and even if he did show up at 7:30, they may or may not decide to get the fryers ready to cook. This is the first restaurant I've been to that had such a cavalier attitude to when their kitchen opened, and I got the distinct feeling that we were...
