We stumbled upon Bar Estrella when trying to find somewhere for dinner after a long day walking the Camino De Santiago. We arrived at around 8pm and were welcomed and seated immediately in the lovely little street outside. When more friends arrived the waiters and waitresses quickly helped us add another table and chairs and were very accommodating (despite us being a big group without a booking!). The menu is small and tasty, good sized tapas dishes you can share amongst a small group. Our favourite was the estrella patatas and padrón peppers but everything was delicious. The vibe and sitting in the street is fabulous. The waitress was attentive and friendly. One of the best restaurants I have been on the Camino through Portugal and Spain and probably one of the best I have been in Spain for the hospitality and food. Often you find that a place has good food but poor service. Here they have both!...
Read moreWe stopped here to get lunch after walking an 11 mile day in the rain. We asked the staff member if we could get a table for 2. He told us there was nothing available. I noticed several tables outside and asked if there was any chance we could use one of them. His response was, “No, you would get wet and so would I so no.” I’ve never had any establishment in Spain be as rude as this place. 99% of Spain businesses are very welcoming to pilgrims and do everything they can to accommodate us. Therefore, I would not recommend this place. We went to Savoy instead an had an...

I do not recommend to go this restaurant. And to Pilgrims who can not speak Spanish as like me, please don't go there. I feel really offended by owner's arrogant attitude when ordering a meal because I can't speak Spanish. Though staffs were really kind and great, and English is not my first language either. They have a menu in both English and Spanish, but the owner gave me the Spanish one even though I told him "Sorry, I can't speak Spanish". Then he gave me a smirk smile and replied "I don't speak English" and just went away. After a long waiting, a staff who can speak English came to me and said "I'll bring a menu in English for you". I think owner could have gave me a menu in English at the beginning without giving me that smirk smile. Also, I wouldn't have to wait such a long time while others delightfully having their meals in...
