Last night of our holiday, we booked at the last minute having read the positive reviews about El Patio. The staff were pleasantly attentive on our arrival, we were told the special was Dorada (fresh today) grilled, with salad and Canarian potatoes with mojo sauce. So we order two. When it arrived, it became obvious that it was not fresh today and it definitely was not grilled, but deep fried in old oil. The salad was not freshly made, nor were the the potatoes freshly cooked. The fish was raw in the middle so we sent it back. The same fish returned having been refried once again, just long enough to ensuring it was truly inedible. We ordered water which never came but was added on the bill. All in all a big shame that there was no attention to detail. What is needed is less waiters at this restaurant and more kitchen staff to ensure the food is freshly cooked to ordered as stated...
Read moreI would not recommend their tapas tasting menu. The food was just okay and heavily dominated by deep fried chicken lower legs and potatoes. Hardly worth 30 euro. We didn't leave hungry but it's just not worth it.
Regarding service, it was bad. We wanted to have their selection of tapas and said that when arrived. We were shown to a table and asked to wait a little by a nice smiley waitress. Then she got busy inside. A male waiter refused to come to our table or even give us the menu. Just acknowledged our presence and said the waiters will serve us. He just stood there. About 15 minutes later he finally came over and took the order for tasting tapas. There were 3 tables of 2 people including us and 1 table with 4 people served by two staff. Our food arrived 35 minutes later and mainly consisted of deep fried chicken calves and potatoes. Not a culinary highlight. Such a...
Read moreAlmost no service at all during my visit. 1.We arrived around 19 and was told the restaurant closes at 20. But actually it opens until 22. We were 5 adults and one 2- year old kid in total. We were force to separate to sit in 2 places even if there were 2 tables close to each other. Very weird! We waited 20 minutes before the waitress came and said hello. She didn't ask for the need of baby chair and we finally found one in the corner. The most disappointing thing is that the waitress even tried to take my plate away while I was enjoying the tapas. I eas trying to clean the plate but she just tried to collect the plate.
Based on things happened above, I feel that I was not welcomed at all ( she didn't want us to come in and she seems to push us away from the dining table). Therefore, one star gives to...
