Really great place to eat in the centre of Ronda in Calle Sevilla. @ Sabor de Mari y José. A table for four people with 23 drinks included for a three course meal came to €50 which is amazing the starters we had Salmorejo, goats Cheese salad and spring fresh tomatoes. What is the main cause we had pigs cheeks with potatoes all home-cooked in this home owned family run restaurant in the centre of Ronda. The tables on the street in the shade are fantastic very comfortable to eat they also have sitting inside if you don’t like the terrace. The restaurant is family run the service is fantastic very fast very good the waiters are very friendly fantastic place to eat highly recommended.

The place was a bit dirty as there was a lot of uncleaned cups and plates all over the place. The staff was in quite a hurry and they all seemed very stressed which didn’t give very possitive impresion of the restaurant. Churros were great, we got a hot chocolate with them. Prices are good, we paid 9,50 euros for two plates of churros, chocolate, coffee and a cup of orange juice.

Fuimos recomendadas por el hostal donde nos hospedamos. Nos dijeron lugar de muy buena comida casera. Servicio correcto, no se puede decir que el camarero almenos no le pone interés. Pedimos menú pq nos dijeron que era lo que ofrecían. Que no había carta ni tapas ni ninguna otra opción. No íbamos con la intención de pedir tanta comida. El precio no es caro pero algunas cosas no estaban bién. Por ese precio no pedimos más, pero el camarero nos ofreció pizza casera. Por casera entienden una base comprada ( y no de muy buena calidad) con ingredientes encima. Eso sí, las patatas fritas sí eran caseras. Eso se agradece. En general ha estado simplemente correcto pero no repetiriamos.

Very nice lunch experience. We 2 were looking for a place for a late lunch, and stumbled on this pleasant local casual restaurant.

AMBIANCE: 4.0. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Casual vibe. Appears to be a hub for the local community, as we saw many neighborhood folks come in and have lunch or coffee, as well as happy banter with the couple who seem to own the place.

SERVICE: 5.0. Despite being short-staffed, the woman and man (man and wife?) running the place were working like tornadoes to keep everyone well-served. We seemed to be the only non-Spanish speaking customers. The wonderful woman took care of us, even bringing out a handwritten English version of the lunch set menu of the day. 12€ for starter, main, beverage (eg soda, beer), and dessert or coffee.

Don’t believe the rave reviews. We stopped here for a late breakfast after arriving from Sevilla. I speak Spanish fluently but the owner was rude, it was like we were an inconvenience though the place was only half full of patrons. We each ordered different breakfast sandwiches. They were mediocre at best though the bread was fresh, so that was a plus and my cafe con leche...
