Im sad to write bad reviews. I normally tend not to… However this restaurant was disappointing. We went here for lunch and wanted to go for the mix of 5 “chef’s choice” tapas. Which honestly gave us the feeling of “leftovers of the kitchen”.
As an extra tapa we wanted the “bao bun with ox tail and kimchi”. When served we got a huge plate with potato and ox tail. But no bun and no kimchi. When asked if this was the correct order and showing him a photo of actual bao buns. He told us that we were wrong and this is correct… and pointed toward the side of bread as being the “buns”.
After looking up the restaurant I saw reviews of people receiving actual bao buns instead of bread.
When paying the bill we saw the ox tail he served us cost us a whopping 18,-!! (Instead of 4,-) We feel ripped off and taken advantage off of being a ‘tourist’. I know he knew what he was doing…. Totally uncalled for and ruined my experience in Ronda, which is a waste since the food they serve tastes good. But you don’t treat customers this way and make them feel like they made the mistake. Don’t go here.

Read moreThe food was OK- not great, but not bad. They have some outside tables in shade near a park. Why the one star rating? I paid the bill using a foreign credit card, the bill already had 10% service charge included. I know about the Dynamic currency conversion scam european banks run (where they charge in US dollars at a terrible exchange rate) and always press the "pay in Euros" on the portable credit card machines they use. This time the waiter said there is a network problem (after I had tapped my chip card) and disappeared inside. Came back with a completed transaction which was paid in Us dollars at a terrible exchange rate. Could not be changed, too late. He did not ask me whether I wanted euros or dollars at any point. Dishonest, unscrupulous practice. And that is the impression left in my mind of this...
Read moreThis is one of very little restaurants we ate at in Spain where the food was below average (ensalada rusa and cherry gazpacho were not good). The location with a terrace next to a park is nice, so are the prices, but the food quality cannot compete (Rabo de Toro was good for the sake of meat, but it's cooked in the same unspectacular stew as Carillada). The waiter mixed up the order and his response was "well, this is not what I wrote down". Ok if you're starving, otherwise go...
