Excellent, long established and well known patisserie selling a wide variety of typical mallorquin pastries, such as ensaimadas, empanadas, cocas, cocorrois.... as well as the wider European produce such as croissants, quiche, vol au vents etc. The branch in Sóller (of about 8 in Mallorca?) has not been going for long, but has imported the high standard, good reputation and tradition that has been the trademark of this family run business since 1910.
The "cafe patisserie" in Sóller is in itself a delightful venue in which to sit and have a coffee and cake, making the most of the ground floor and patio of a traditional late 19 century town house. Indeed, the small patio, with its wicker furniture and (in the winter, flame heaters), is a very pleasant place in which to relax over a coffee. Indeed, the coffee is excellent. Overall, Sant Cristo offer excellent and well presented food and drink at very decent prices, in a charming environment - all provided by attentive and good humoured staff:- Relaxing cup of coffee in the Plaza Mayor? Forget it. Head to the Forn Sant Cristo instead. Oh, and in the cooler months, try an ensaimada with a cup of traditionally ground hot chocolate for an instant...
Read moreHow did I forget to write a review for this place?! I was so happy to discover Horno Santo Cristo in Sóller. I went based off the reviews and they definitely didn't disappoint. I had arrived pretty late and they were one of the only places open that I could grab a bite to eat. I was so surprised by the quality that I had to come back the following morning. In the morning I ordered an espresso and pan de chocolate. It was the best chocolate croissant that I ever had and still have ever had. The outside was dipped in dark chocolate, and the inside was FILLED with dark chocolate. It was actually too much chocolate for me, but I am not complaining. I went back every day I stayed in Sóller.
I've seen been back to visit this adorable town and was very excited to come back to Horno Santo Cristo. I brought my friend here, which was such a treat to share this experience with them. I DEFINITELY recommend coming to this place. The food, pastries, bread, coffee, juice, and the staff are...

With a quick line forming out the door and their drool worthy pastries, baked goods, breads, sandwiches and so many delicious things through that glass window, you can’t help but impatiently wait as you patiently wait for your turn. It’ll be well worth it I promise!
There’s a few locations of the Forn Sant Cristo, even one in Palma. They’ve been operating and perfecting their ensaimadas for a long time, since 1910!
This is the perfect little spot to take a coffee break, snack break, lunch break, really anything. We loved our savory bites and also got this incredible almond cake that they’re also typically known for. Wish I could remember it but sadly all I remember is how incredible it was. Either way, you can’t go wrong with...
